Not entirely made of brass.

Let's be clear. Brass is non magnetic. I have a magnet. These snap clips stick to my magnet. Therefore, some part of these "brass" clips aren't brass. Since the magnet sticks at the ends of the clips, I'm assuming that innards of the spring mechanism aren't brass. The whole point of buying brass clips is so that they won't corrode in salt water. But if the inner spring mechanisms aren't brass, then what's the point of the rest of the clip being brass? I mean, once the spring corrodes, the rest of the brass clip is useless. I'll be using these above sea level but my quest for proper diving brass clips continues.

Poor Quality clasps stick, overpriced.

Ordered one as a test. Clasps stick. An Equine enthusiast I use dozens of these. Gates, bucket and net hangers, securing tarps, latches, quick dog tethers, endless uses. Will stay w equine supply catalogs.

Big Brass buddy underwater!

Great product. I've used these products on multiple dives in the depths of the Red Sea...salty! Non corrosive. Great size, with functioning spring...spray silicone spray occasionally to maintain the smooth spring action so...no fumbling around under water. Great value!!

The springs are very stiff

These are terrible. The springs are very stiff and do not work very well, despite trying to loosen them with a drop of mineral oil. Previous brass clips that I bought from a retailer worked much better and smoother. Wish I could find those again.
