bookends
These are wonderful bookends. I highly recommend them. I just love how well they look and work.

Really cool, not incredibly stable.
I really like these, but because of the shape and weight they fall over pretty easily... which is specifically what you don't want for things that are keeping your books from falling over

Small, heavy bookends
These are really nice bookends if you want heavy and small. They fit nicely into small gaps between your books and the end of the shelf that may be too narrow for other bookends that are larger. The size and weight are perfect for narrow spaces.

It says set of 3, only 2 were sent.....
The title said there were a set of 3, I only received 2. That's misleading...... if it was only suppose to be 2.

Heavy, Just as Needed
If you need sturdy, heavy, stylish bookends, and you like the design of these, get them! I'm quite happy with mine.

Too light and unstable for more than a decorative use
This looks great holding my DVDs a& Blu rays, but was largely useless for more than 5 medium or small books

Beautiful, but not great by themselves as bookends
I’m a little bit torn on how to rate these marble bookends. As decorative pieces of marble, they’re great. They are beautiful. They really add an interesting element to my shelves. Five stars. But as functional bookends, eh, they’re not really suitable. Two stars. If you lay them flat, they can’t really support books that well. But if you put them up on end, they *really* can’t support books. If you have a line of books that more or less are standing by themselves anyway, sure, stick one of these on the end. But they just can’t hold up books like a real set of bookends. They don’t even have any sort of skid-resistant pad on any of the sides. Functionally, pretty much a total fail except that they *are* quite heavy. But I do love the look of these. I got the “natural” color, and my set is a lot whiter than the mostly gray set depicted in the manufacturer’s photos, but it probably varies from one set to another. My set matches each other nicely. I use them *in addition* to slim bookends for visual interest. I get a lot of compliments on them and people can’t resist picking them up. Good thing they’re not what’s actually holding my books. I have a LOT of books, and, correspondingly, a LOT of bookends. These are by no means practical by themselves. But if you’re mindful of their limitations and really like marble, you will likely find a way to incorporate them into your shelves.

Beautiful, subtle color
A good, heavy bookend is hard to beat. It can make or break the functionality of a bookshelf. My gripe with nice bookends has always been: they’re so, so, so expensive. Truly. Go to CB2, Crate and Barrel, West Elm, Pottery Barn, or any such store and look at the price tags on the book ends. You will gasp in shock and horror. You won’t believe your eyes. But believe it. Bookends are crazy expensive. Not these ones! And there doesn’t seem to be any drawback I can find. They’re heavy as all get out, they’re beautiful to look out and have a great subtle green color that kind of goes with everything. You can use them upright or on their backs. One friend came over and pointed out that they kind of look like a giant piece of candy or gum. And I suppose they do. I also think they look like giant buttons. But press them all you want, they don’t do anything other than weigh down your books so they can’t escape, or keep them upright so they don’t fall over!
