I wish it was better

Overall, I liked the marble bookends. They are heavy and I needed something to keep the books together on the side table. However, within 5 minutes of putting it on the table, and arranging the books, the anti-slip thingies came off. They were glued with the cheap glue dot or something. Luckily, I had some glue dots at home so I put the anti-slip back on before I’d lost them forever. One of the bookends also came damaged from one corner. It is not the sort of damage to make me return those heavy marble bookends, but for the price I paid, I expected an item to be perfectly delivered.

Pretty Bookends

The media could not be loaded. They are sturdy & a little heavy (good for hardcover books). Pretty marble and wood accent - I love them! They are simple, elegant and do the job well. They also have felt on the bottom so you don’t have to worry about damaging your surface.

product chipped upon arrival

I really liked this product as it was represented on the Amazon website. I wanted the product to be a good one. It looked simple enough to get right. But the product was chipped upon arrival. Very disappointing.

Quite attractive, white filler/adhesive is visible though

The bookends are quite heavy. They are made of genuine marble and have wood sandwiched in between. They are not perfect but they do look nice. You can see the filler on some of them more than others. There is an adhesive and some sort of white filler that has been added. It’s not noticeable from far away but it is as you get closer. The marble is nicely cut however. It has been rounded on the edges so there’s nothing sharp or pointy on any of the corners or sides. The bottom of the book holders have four rubber feet on each one. It does make them non-slip plus it doesn’t scratch your surface. Again, they are not perfect so they are just ever so slightly off on heights but it is not noticeable when in use. It does make me wonder if they were done by hand versus a machine which is fine. I do also like the variation of wood. There is dark and light wood in between the marble and it gives it a nice look. Overall the wood sandwich between the white marble is very attractive. I think the marble and wood is a pleasing look for an office or living room shelf. It’s also nice because they are actually heavy enough to hold up books. I think it helps that they are made of marble because it is so heavy. Depending on how one feels about the white filler and adhesive will probably be the main factor for most. If they are being used on a wall shelf, it’s not very noticeable because they are further away and in use. Up close on a desk or surface that’s more closely used it may become a minor irritation though.
