Easy installation, works very well

These are very easy to install and definitely prevent the door from being opened when in position. Easy to disingage. I placed them near the top of the door so only the adults can reach to engage/disingage them. The only caution is when the lock is engaged, the door cannot be opened from the outside. Depending on your situation this could sway your decision to buy. Overall, happy with our purchase.

Outsmarts an Alzeheimer's patient! Clever, sleek design. Highly recommend!!

We used this to keep my father safe - he is 94 with Alzeheimers and frequently has to go to "work" or on some other nonsense mission, and tries to leave the house. This sleek designed lock comes in multiple color choices, we got the white one to blend in with the woodwork. It stumps him every time. We have had two of these locks for almost a year now, and I recommend them to every nurse and caregiver that comes to the house to care for my dad. This is a lifesaver! Dad wouldn't be able to remain at home with my mom without this lock. Great price too. About 1/4 the price of the locks listed on the Alzeheimer's site, and look much sleeker and less prominent than the large locks advertised there. Highly recommend!

Love it!

I bought these for my daughters house. They are easy to install and they are easy to operate. Much better than a chain lock. Just an add security for Dad now that baby girl is all on her own. I liked them so much I put them on my oldest daughters house and all of my rent rent houses.

Ideal for dementia security.

I bought this lock because my wife has Alzheimer's and has wandered off a number of times. It only works on inward-swinging doors, but for my needs it has been *perfect* in every way. Someone with moderate dementia won't be able to figure out how to unlock it. I had a 1/8" gap at the edge of the door so I didn't even have to chisel a relief into the jamb. The design is very strong, simple and elegant. I had to exchange one defective item because it was assembled with the end of the spring wrapped around the pivot pin instead of just pushing against it. Bottom line is that I love what this does for me: It lets me sleep at night.

It works

It was easy to install. You definitely need a power drill. Great instructions. If you have a metal door you need a drill bit that’s specifically for metal. Feel much better. Now my grandson cannot go to the balcony unsupervised.

Keeps my toddler in the house. He knows how to open the deadbolt but can’t reach this.

Retrained our kiddos!

We recently moved and my little ones (2 & 4) were getting in habit of opening the front door. We got this lock and only had to use it during the day for about a week before the kids gave up trying to open the door on their own. We now only use it at night and keep it unlocked during the day so the kids can get out in case of an emergency.

2-Way Peace of Mind

Fantastic product, easy to install. Great 2-way peace of mind for intruders and keeping young kids from getting out of the house unknowingly. Only small issue is with the 3" screws. The drive recess strips very easily. Ended up having to use some 3" heavy duty screws I had at home but overall the product is great!
