Thick and soft towels
These towels are very thick and soft. They wash well. But because of other reviewers commenting on the huge amounts of lint they give off, I checked and cleaned the lint screen in the dryer several times, every 15 minutes or so, the first two times I laundered them. Yes, they do give off a lot of lint when first washed! You will want to check that lint screen often too the first couple of times you dry them. I gave them only four stars, when really they may deserve 5, because they are still too new for me to assess how durable they are. All the towels I have bought in recent years come apart at the edges after many washings, but the towels of twenty years ago did not seem to do that. (Yes, I still have towels from 20 years ago.) So, if these nice, lofty towels are not separating at the edges a year or two down the road I would then give them 5 stars.

Soft, thirsty, gorgeous! A great value!
I've been using some fairly good quality towels, but realized they've seen better days. Since it's been a while since I've purchased any, I was shocked at the price, even at the big box stores. After doing a bit of comparison shopping and reading the reviews, I swallowed hard and purchased these, along with the set of six washcloths. They arrived a couple of days ago, and I've washed and dried them several times. When I put them in my linen closet, I was amazed that four of these towels, folded, take up the same room as seven of the ones I already have. When I stacked them next to my other white towels, these are a blinding, snowy white that makes the others look almost ivory. To use, these are soft, incredibly absorbent, and quick to dry. Yes, I spent more than I wanted to, but I am delighted with the investment. I can cross towels off my list for a while!

Excellent towels at a low price.
These were surprisingly great towels. There was the expected minor amount of cotton fluff that came off on us after the first use or two, but that was mostly because we were too excited to wash them first. After the first wash, there was no problem whatsoever. The towels are perfectly soft, but not overly so. They're absorbent, and look nice. Careful if you have hair dye... they'll absorb the color. The packaging says not to use chlorine bleach, but we did anyway, and they were back to perfectly white with no problems. The size of the towel is 'normal'. They're neither particularly big, and they're not too small. Since they're so cheap, we will definitely be buying a second set when we need them. We were originally going to just use these as 'guest' towels, but they've already been upgraded to our everyday towels. If you're on the edge between different brands, or other cheap white towels... these are the ones to get. They're not high end super amazing towels like those you can get at Bloomingdales... but they're great normal towels.

QUALITY PRODUCT!!
This is, simply, an excellent product. Stand up to washing and drying and they don't fray or wrinkle or shrink...at all! After a couple months' worth of use, they still come out of the dryer perfect and fluffy, and fold up perfectly, looking like new. Even the tags are awesome: they don't hang out the edges, and don't fade, fray or wrinkle, either, so I don't feel compelled to remove them as I usually do... Yes, I am that picky! They are soft, but not that obnoxious kind of soft that doesn't actually absorb the water and dry you off. I would purchase these again in a heartbeat...but from the way they are performing so far, I have a feeling I won't have to, because I expect to have this set in use for years to come! I have bought literally *dozens* of brands of white towels and washcloths over the past fifteen years and these are, by far, my best investment ever, and at a very reasonable price for such a high end product!

Soft, absorbent and exactly what we were looking for.
We're very happy with these towels, they are equivalent to nice soft hotel bath towels. We washed them one time before using and didn't experience an abnormal amount of lint. I've read negative comments regarding lint for the first few washes, This is NOT an issue worthy of negative feedback for the product or vendor. Some manufacturers or distributors may not pre-wash their towels. So even if you do see high amounts of lint the first couple times you wash/dry them, don't freak out, it's normal for non prewashed towels. The amount of lint will diminish after the first few wash/dry cycles. With that said, it's common practice in the hospitality industry to include "prewashed" or not in the product description. The vendor may want to consider adding this information to the description so as to set the expectation up front. Prewashed means less lint for the first few washes. Unwashed means you should wash them a few times before using and expect high level of lint initially. It's pretty simple. And don't forget to clean your dryer lint screen, you should be doing this anyway with each use.

Pretty good towels
These are nice towels. They aren't the best I've ever had, but they are fine. I also ordered the wash clothes and hand towels. I followed the instructions on prewashing with vinegar. I didn't have any coating or lint problems with them. They absorb and dry well. Why they didn't earn five stars: 1. They are slightly on the skimpy size. I've been using Land's End towels for several years. They are slightly larger. I think Land's End has slipped on quality and didn't want to take a chance with reordering. 2. They only come in white. I'd like a color choice. White would have been fine if they were the greatest towels I'd ever purchased. If I had seen them ahead of time in a store, I probably won't have purchased.
