What a find

I was ready to trash two cordless vac, they were both if 202 because shark told me they no longer make the power nozzle. It has a side mounted power plug. Ebay, parts suppliers, all said the same thing. This one fits and works great! How come the mfg and parts people don't know?

Quality better than Dyson, clearly.

After many, many years of reliable service from my Shark F80 cordless vacuum, the drive belt of the front soft brush misaligned and wore a hole in the outside cover. I ordered a replace head for my Shark vacuum and it matched and worked as you would hoped a replacement would. It gave me the chance to evaluate the design, engineering and manufacturing of the old vacuum head. Unexpectedly, I was bowled over at what I found inside the old vacuum head. The design and engineering that went in to the F80 power head was incredibly impressive. It was like working on a very fine motor car. Everything about the power head was done to a level of excellence. Nothing is truly perfect but for a mechanical device this closely approaches that level. So much of my dyson vacuum is held together with plastic compression fit, not the Shark. The head was assembled with 32 screws that tightly bound the components together. The wiring for the control board and the safety microswitches were precisely routed and protected with rubber shrouds at points where the wires would rub. The electrical design of the control board appeared compact and well organized. Assembly of the control board was of the highest order with clear concern for the quality assembly and mastic protection where needed. The 16 volt motor was brushed but constructed with such quality that it would long outlive the vacuum. The assembly was tight and accurately manufactured. The engineering, manufacturing and quality control is at a level that was better than any auto, appliance, or device that I have ever worked on before. Quality manufacturing and intelligent design was evident through out this Shark product.
