Worked perfectly on Water Heater
Used this on my tankless water heater. This will prevent any water surge on the cold water side. Which with any water movement on a gas tankless it will come on for just a few seconds. This resolved my issue.

A little pricey, but worth it.
Not too much to say really, it works exactly as described and exactly as I expected. It was a little on the pricey side, in my opinion, for what it is; but at the same time, I paid it and was very happy to not have to spend a lot longer sweating copper.

SharkBite fittings are so easy to use!!!
Our house is on well water, so we have numerous filters and a water softener. We were noticing that when the water softener regenerated, that their would be air in the lines upstairs the next morning. I'm assuming the cause is a slight drip in our upstairs shower (it allows a very slow drip of water), so when the softener is regenerating, that leak allows the water to backfill from the water lines that run upstairs. When I installed the water softener, I used a SharkBite connector, so all I did was disconnect that join and replaced it with this check valve. So far, that has fixed the issue with the air getting in the lines (although I still need to fix the leak). Note: Removing the old SharkBite union and replacing it with the check valve took about 2 minutes to complete!

Fixed my RV shower problem, love it!
Installed this in my travel trailer, in the hot water line of the shower. IF you do this, it will stop the back flow of the cold water back into the hot water line. Then, when you turn the shower head back on, the water will be warm, not cold. I had pretty good access to the water lines behind a little white plastic cover held in with 4 screws. It was a little tight, but no too tough. You need to cut out 3/4" from the line, so that when you put this in, the overall length of the line to the shower will be the same. Took maybe 30 minutes total. No leaks. Keep in mind you can rotate the pipes after pressing this on, so you don't need to be careful with orientation. Also, the Sharkbite website shows how to remove it if you screwed up and put it in backwards.

Easy replacement checkvalve.
I replace an old check valve that wasn't holding back pressure anymore. Using a SharkBite unit makes it possible to remove and clean the valve without having to desolder the fitting.

Good for failed RV demand pump valves
I got this to keep in my RV for emergency repair purposes in the event my demand pump's back-flow valve fails. I've had it happen before, and it's no fun. This should make the fix easy. Although I haven't installed it yet, I've installed all manner of Shark Bite fittings on everything from copper to PVC to pex, and I've never been disappointed. I have high confidence that this one will be no different.

A must have for Tankless Hot Water Installs
I think most folks have their tankless hot water installed in their garage, but if your's is in your crawl space and bothering someone in the room above this is for you!! The flow sensor on my tankless hot water heater would fire up when cold water in the house had not been run in a few hours. With my tankless installed under my bedroom floor in my crawl space it was annoying that the tankless hot water heater would fire up in the middle of the night when someone would flush a toilet. Once the toilet was filled and the water stopped running it was sending a water pulse through my cold water lines that would cause my tankless to fire up for just a minute. A false start you might say. I installed this valve on my cold line before it connected to the inlet on my tankless hot water heater. Problem solved!!!!! Now my tankless only fires up when the hot water is ran in my house. Buy a disconnect clip while your ordering along with a deburring and depth tool. I used both during my install with Pex.

Easy to install.
I have had to replace the 12 volt fresh water supply pump in my trave trailer several times because the internal check valve fails after just a few months. Every time the check valve fails it fills, then overflows the fresh water tank. I decided this time not to replace a perfectly good pump over a non working check valve. I purchased a threaded check valve to direct attach to the pump, but the male/female threads were backwards from what I needed. I could have replumbed things, but the Shark Bite check valve was much easier to install. It was simple to cut the line, and then press the Shark Bite on. Time will tell as to how long this will hold the pressure.

Expensive but easy to install and work well
I have separate hot and cold hose bibs in my garage. They're connected together with a mixing hose so that I can get any temperature into my garden hose. I installed these on both the hit and cold side to keep the tap with the higher pressure from back feeling into the other open tap. I used these rather than vacuum breakers because the vacuum breakers release the water to atmosphere which would make a mess in the garage. They're expensive for what they are, but they're doing their job well so far!

good product
Installed in minutes, no leaks and low profile. Very satisfied!

does the job but at the cost of flow rate
when I used the connection with this valve inline I got 1.8 Gpm. when I placed it on a different return line the main line got 4.0 Gpm. that is a huge loss for a 1" check valve.
