I realised that cpvc pipe as a non metallic pipe is one of the best to use for home plumbing and unlike metallic pipe ...
I have cpvc pipe through out my house and I have had random sporadic leaks at the junctions of the pipe such as elbows and Ts.I thought about repiping with copper but that would cost thousands of dollars. I work at a company that manufactures specialized equipment handling highly corrosive chemicals and all our equipment uses plastic pipe which usually lasts longer than the equipment itself. I realised that cpvc pipe as a non metallic pipe is one of the best to use for home plumbing and unlike metallic pipe plastic pipe will last forever except at junctions unless you use these shark bite type of fittings. I repaired a shower a few years ago and went back to an access wall to check the fitting. It is still dry. So I recommend that you do not go to the expense of repiping with metallic pipe but use these fittings with your plastic pipe pex or CPVC. If someone out there has had a failure with junctions using the shark bite fittings please let me know but I love them. and as a final note I hear complaints about expense of the fittings but who cares if you spend a few bucks in a fitting its a heck of a lot cheaper then killing a Saturday or calling a plumthe back in to fix the fitting.

Easy installation
This is a great product for the DIY'er. I was able to do my entire bathroom without having to solder anything. Pex makes plumbing so much easier. Of course you have to pay for "easy" since these items can get pricey, but still cheaper than paying a plumber to make connections. The pex slides right in to this elbow and locks tight. And it's also easy to remove the Pex with the removal tool if you got the length wrong.

Works well
I love this technology it works well and I have never had an issue with any of them. The only complaint I would have is there a bit pricey.

I love the SharkBite connectors
I love the SharkBite connectors. If these had been available when I originally installed the plumbing, I would not have had to tear up the wall to replace the crappy Chinese threaded fittings.

When I got the package, it had already been opened even though it said it was theft protected. Instead of a 1/2 in Sharkbite elbow all I got was a 2 in piece of blue pex pipe worth a fee cents.
