One of the best hockey undergarments on the market.

Very similar to my review for Shock Doctor Men's Core Hockey Shirt, Quality + + + + + Price + + + + Features + + + + + Fit + + + + In the case of this product the fit is what drops it from a 5-Star to a 4-Star. I have been using Shock Doctor products for as long as I can remember starting with the mouth guard I used for football. When they started making ice hockey gear it was a no-brianer. I purchased these mainly to compliment my goalie gear as opposed to the gear I wear when playing out of the net. The reason was to incorporate the second cup under the goalie cup rather than wearing a second jock/jock shorts with cup. The fit of the pants themselves is perfect, good solid stitching and quality fabric that almost feels as if it isn't there. However, compared to previous years the protective cup itself has gotten smaller. In order to use the pants I had to pull an older cup out of a shorts set I had from 6-7 years ago the cup in the older set provides better coverage that doesn't feel like stuffing a sleeping bag into a compression sack. To remedy this I recommend either swapping out the included cup with one you know fits, or just buying a larger cup separately.

Fits Great!

This is about the same price as in the store! I would have gotten one from the store rather than ordering it BUT... I couldnt find a store in Oklahoma or Texas that carries the Large size for ice hockey. So if you find it in the store your size for 40-50 dollars BUY IT!!

Size down!

If you need the cup to fit comfortably and true compression, size down! I’ma big boy; 6’2” & 220lbs. Going by their sizing chart the XL fits like pajamas. Large and the cup doesn’t fit correctly. Medium is perfect fit for both a secure cup and true compression. I find the same true with the Shock Doctor hockey shirt. I have a pair of MMA compression shorts from Shock Doctor (225) and they have a much more secure cup pocket. A jock type of fit sewn into the short. I would prefer that with these as well to keep the cup secure and less movement and irritation. Pros: good moisture wicking, grippy texture for shins, comfortable fabric Cons: sizing is off, size down. Cup “floats” so if the pant sizing is off, forget about protection.

These pants are amazing

Where I play hockey, the adult leagues are co-ed, and most of my fellow guys aren't very conscientious about keeping the locker room door closed. I'm religiously conservative and don't like for ladies to be able to see me naked, accident or not (what I consider naked is probably not naked to most). That's why I was looking for pants with a built-in jock that could hold a cup. These may seem a little pricy, but they are worth every penny to me. They are super comfortable, and more importantly, very functional. The sock-holders make it to where I don't have to fuss with sock tape; fit is perfect. I've not used a lot of sports products that claim to wick moisture, but I was admittedly skeptical. I have about a 15-minute drive home from the ice rink if traffic is agreeable, and these are almost completely dry by the time I get home. My only gripe would be that the sock holders can be difficult to peel open, but that's a very minor complaint--I'd love the pants even if they didn't have the sock holders. The cup fits me very comfortably too. I had never worn one before these pants, so I was afraid it would be uncomfortable. Not an issue.

If these fit they’d be great

My husband is 6’ and 190 pounds. First he tried the mediums because most of the reviews say to size down. The length and leg fit were perfect but they were WAY too tight at the waste, so he returned the mediums and ordered XL. The XL fit perfectly at the waste but were way too long and baggy in the calves. We’re guessing the large would be OK in length but too tight in the waste so we’re giving up on this brand and looking elsewhere. Amazing that it’s taking weeks just to buy some compression pants. Clothing sizes have gotten so frustrating in the last few years. Zero consistency from brand to brand. You might wear XXL in one brand and Medium in another. We REALLY miss being able to shop locally!!!!!!! >:|

great hockey pants

We are always looking for discounts on the expensive "unders" for our youth hockey player. He has outgrown the youth sizing and he likes this brand of unders - The youth Large (he is approx 110lbs) is tight and he wears them but the adult xs and s both fit so due to the great price, we are keeping both because if you're a hockey parent, you know that these unders tend to stink and you can't get them washed quick enough with all of the games and practices. I consider this a great deal!

Love them

Definitely one of the better comfort fits for hockey underpants I’ve worn and this is my 4th different pair. I’ve gone from Graf to Bauer to Under Armor. Surprised that this brand was as top quality as the other bigger name brands. One thing that is noticeable though is that some quick wear and tear has formed underneath the Velcro part, specifically due to the friction created from the Velcro of my hockey socks. I mean, optically it’s an eyesore, and hopefully it doesn’t lead to the fabric getting worse, but still not enough to deter me from giving the product 5 stars.

Amazing product

Fit great.... Well made product. Have used them now for 2 seasons. Cup fits great. Velcro works great for holding sox up. Would buy again!! But the way they are holding up....it will be a while.

Extremely Comfortable!!!!

Best dry-fit compression pants including the cup I've ever worn!! I ordered the Men's Mediums, I'm 5'9" tall and currently 213lbs, approx 32-34" waist and thick legs. The "squeeze" i get from these pants is perfect, really help with leg fatigue playing hockey. The included velcro tabs for holding up socks is a nice touch. The jock is fantastic as well, don't even notice it when I'm on the ice. I play both winter and summer hockey, so we'll see how well they stand the test of time, but for now it's 2 thumbs up!
