Astounding sight on the first night but severely underperforms

UPDATE 9/21/21: Changing from 2 stars to 4 stars because I've had these almost 2 years now and not one light has gone out. While still not as bright as the first night I installed them, they consistently perform. Looking to order more for the sides of my house. FIRST REVIEW: Put these in the ground on the day they were delivered and they were divine immediately out of the box. I went out to look at them at least 5 times that night! It's been several weeks now and I've only seen them perform like that twice since then. The solar panel must not be very strong because if it's cloudy, the lights won't charge. Other lawn lights charge as long as there is light. These do not...it requires sunshine and it must be shining on them ALL day to get them to come on. The area that I have mine in only gets sunshine in the morning so if it's cloudy for part of the morning, they won't charge. The cap holds water when it rains so when it stops raining, the water pools at the top which, again, covers the panel so that the sun doesn't charge them. And you only get the beautiful display if the plastic portion is clear. If condensation fogs it up (which it does most cold mornings), there won't be the display on the ground. It will just be a dull lit area. I would send them back but because there are 12 of them, they came in 2 boxes that were compactly packed and I don't intend on spending the effort to do so. These will definitely not work in a shaded part of a lawn. They are extremely bright and beautiful after a perfectly lit day but they only stay on about 3 hours. Pretty disappointed in their subsequent performance after seeing them on the first night.

good item, good customer service

pretty good item. works well however one of the stems that go into the dirt broke in half on assembly. i reached out to seller and they provided a replacement. however after a 1-2 months use it just doesnt light up long enough through the night for me to keep these. just my preference. took one star off for that but because of the great customer service i believe my 4 stars is fair.

Just less than perfect

I like these lights. I would have given 5 stars, but 4 out of 6 batteries were dead. Very disappointed about that.

Good for small area

So far so good! I placed to lights out to charge once our rainy days stopped. They have a good amount of light and are working well so far.

I think it depends on the amount of direct sunlight it gets....I like them!

Could be brighter also buy or use your own rechargeable aa battery the battery that comes is only 300 Mah doest light dust till dawn 5 hours buy amazon. Basic batterys lights always will last everynight all night buy min 2000mah battery aa
