Very nice stainless steel standoffs but oh are they expensive

When you mount a device which can get hot onto a wood board, it is best to mount it using standoffs.. This allows for the air to circulate on all sides of the device, which is best for cooling.. While you can use a bunch of washers, this isn't the best way to provide this space, but is exactly what standoffs are designed to do.. And in that job, the Stainless Steel unthreaded spacers are just about perfect.. The only downside being they cost a lot more than they should.. I find it ironic I can get threaded standoffs for less cost then these unthreaded ones.. flk k
