Not as good as the previous version of this item
They cheapened this product since the last time I ordered it. The material is less durable, it is slightly smaller, thinner and has less cushion. It is OK for my smallest dogs ( < 6 lb Yorkies) but my late 19 Lb Cocker would not have been pleased. The old version was absolutely his favorite and we had purchased several so he would always have one in his crate when we washed them.

I wasn’t impressed... but it ended up being perfect.
Honest review here... when I received this, I was not at all impressed. The small was much smaller than I expected, especially the white laying area (brown bumpers aside). I have mostly large Maine Coons so I thought... hmph. It is way too small for many of the cats. It also just looked cheap and not well-made. It was only ~$8 so I determined it would be useful for a crate pad and wrote it off. Proportionally, it has a whole lot of low bumper and the nook in the middle is very small. Weird proportions. But I left it sitting out in the meantime... And I quickly found it has a niche. My kitten absolutely loves it. She loves the low, rounded bumpers. Out of over a dozen I purchased... she just loves this one the most. It’s her daily bed. As she grows, I will have to get her a medium. I also have a 6.5lb geriatric cat. He is an achy old man now, my sweet Pootie, and he was feral most of his life until I trapped him, found he was badly injured, and tamed him. Having lived most of his life as a truly wild animal, he HATES being closed in. You will never find him sprawled out in a plush bed like my other cats... Usually he relaxes in a perched position in spot with a good vantage point. He’s a sweet boy with simple tastes. In taking him to the vet today, I found this was the absolute perfect thing to set on my passenger seat for him to ride on. I’ve tried many, but he’d rather sit on a hard surface... and as I turn, he would stumble and fall. This bed is perfect for him. The low bumpers didn’t bother him at all, the bed was flat enough that he had a perching spot, and it provided just the right “surround” to keep him from stumbling for the turns. I was so thrilled! Unfortunately, after the stress of the vet, he had to go on the way home and as an old man, he couldn’t hold it. Nasty, smelly diarrhea. That’s the death of many beds... Since this one seemed very non-durable to me, I went online to buy another (perfect for the old man and all)... but I though, what the heck, I will try at least. I hosed it off, sanitized it and then washed/dried it. I was again pleased. It washed and dried beautifully. No dots from the non-skid bottom everywhere (yet). No seams coming loose. Retained its shape, not lumpy. I was rather surprised at how well it washed. Very happy. So, while I was initially very disappointed, I have come to really appreciate this unique bed, and how it has way too much low bumper and way too little laying area. For most pets, this probably won’t be a bed you will like. But for the right uses, for the right cat, it is uniquely wonderful. This earns it 5 stars.

Two stars knocked off for tag and backing
I got this for my cat who loves bolster crate mats. Right away I was impressed with the thickness of the bed. Even the center portion is much more padded than a typical crate mat. BUT there are two annoying features that caused me to knock off two stars. 1) It has a very thick tag sewn into the top of the bed that is made out of some sort of rubbery material. I knew it would be uncomfortable for my cat, so I removed it using a seam ripper. For anyone who wants to try this, note that I had to rip literally *every stitch* to get it to come off easily. Also, as I was ripping the stitches, it became clear that the weird rubbery material of the tag was very fragile, and I assume if I had left it on the cat's claws would have made a mess of it. 2) The back of the bed is made of a material that has tiny little silicone (or rubber?) dots on it. I am very familiar with this dotted fabric; it has become nearly omnipresent on pet beds the past couple years. But I HATE IT because when you wash these types of beds, the little dots come off in the washer and/or dryer and you end up with a total mess. Dots in the machines... dots on your clothes... dots everywhere! I have no clue why any manufacturer ever thought the dots were a good idea. I guess they are supposed to make the bed slip-proof, but (a) why the heck does anyone need a bed to be slip-proof and (b) these dots DO NOT make the bed slip-proof! Anyway, once I saw the tag and the dots I considered sending it back, but I didn't feel like paying the return shipping. But I would not order another one. The tag was easy enough to get rid of (though it did leave a strange lighter square on the bed where the edge of the tag used to be), but the dots on the backing are a deal-breaker for me.

My dog does like the bumper around it though
Slightly thin. I laid another crate pad...that doesn't have the bumper around it...on top to give it a little extra padding. My dog does like the bumper around it though. I posted a picture of my Molly laying on it with the extra pad on top. She was recovering from surgery when this was taken. Her brother is keeping an eye on her from the big bed.

Dimensions not as advertised for the smallest size (up to 15 lbs)
I purchased the smallest version for my 13 lb cat. Upon arrival, it is super narrow and not at all what I expected. IT ONLY MEASURES 11.5" WIDE, NOT 14" which is why I rated this so low. Also, the bumper edges are sewn to the middle in such a way that if a pet sits on it, it'll just flatten the edges because the middle is only about 4.5" wide, so it ends up being more like a pad with thick edges. It's not like most pet beds I've seen where the edges are sewn in such a way that the bottom is truly the width of the entire bed and an animal can kind of mold itself into the bed. The quality seems nice, but this bed will only work well for a very tiny dog or a kitten. To be fair, this is advertised as a crate mat, not a pet bed, but the dimensions are still not correct for the smallest size and the photos are kind of misleading and make it look like a bed.

The best crate bed on the market!
Got this for my new doxie pup! I love these crate beds, because not only do they have edge to edge coverage but it is also plush and cozy. Most crate beds are either flat and cover the whole bottom, or are too plush and don’t quite reach the edge. Also super durable! Bought one for our Yorkie 6 years ago and it is still holding strong!!

Great bed!
I really like this bed... my dog isn’t very into dog beds, but we’ve had fosters who were much more into it, and this weekend her cousin (a malti-tzu) came to stay and fell in love, so much that she ordered one immediately after. If you’ve got a dog who likes a bed this is a great choice!

NOT LIKE THE PIC!!!
Good quality but the outside brown bolster is like 5" wide on each side leaving a tiny 4 x 7 beige patch in the middle for my dog to lie down on. Kinda silly looking and awkward for my dog to use. Does NOT look like the pic in the ad - pic is probably from a 30" x 20" or something.

Quality product
Very happy with the Precision bed. Dogs love them. Outer & inner material are high quality, we have already had more use from these beds than other. Recommend

Cheaply made
This lasted 1 hour with my dog. The fur was cheap and began falling out which caused small holes.
