Lifetime warrenty?
I bought this cooler in 2017 & am overall happy with it . The handle broke off about 3 years ago & I fashioned another handle for it but it is currently falling apart. I was looking at the coolers online here at amazon & noticed that Stanley said they have a lifetime warrenty. Was wondering what it took to get another using the warrenty. I do use it daily at work so it gets a lot of use but it is now falling apart. I like the dimensions of it & was hoping it would last longer.

Seals so tight it's almost an issue.
Absolutely fantastic cooler! I bought a 7.5 quart Engel cooler but that company is absolutely horrendous and couldn't tell me when the item would arrive so I ordered this Stanley cooler as a "cheap" replacement in the meantime. When I receive the Stanley cooler I released the two front latches and the cooler absolutely wouldn't open. I looked and looked for another latch but could not see one. Eventually I wedged a knife between the lid and cooler and bent the knife trying to open it. So what did I do? I got a bigger knife! This time it opened but the entire time I was afraid I was breaking it. When it opened it made a significant sucking sound and the lid popped open. I thought this was due to it being new and packaged but after 2 months of use as a lunch box it still can be tough to open... but I do actually like that since it's definitely sealing well. One issue I have with coolers is the condensation some get when they have ice in them. The Engel cooler I mentioned earlier literally had a puddle under it when tested against this one on my kitchen table. This Stanley cooler worked flawlessly with absolutely no condensation anywhere on the outside of it. When I first bought this cooler it was for a beach trip. I spent a week taking it to the beach with my daughter's food in it and it would keep things cold, in the sun, on the beach, in the beginning of August for at least 10 hours. The icepack I used never actually melted before I refroze it over night. I do also use it as a lunchbox now. Previously I parked in a parking deck so the soft lunchbox I had kept things cold in the shade but after changing jobs recently I park in the sun. The soft lunchbox, which I used for years, started sweating and not keeping things cool. This Stanley cooler does it perfectly, even in a locked truck with the windows up in 95+ degree heat. After the icepack spends all day in the lunchbox inside my truck it's still partially frozen when I get home. Great cooler and definitely beats the competition in my opinion. If I had any complaints it would be that the strap on top is sort of gimmicky but it can be useful if you mess with it enough. Also, the handle "locking" wedges are a pita when you're trying to carry the cooler with one hand after the handle has been down. The wedges jut out so far that it's almost impossible to get the handle upright and I find myself flailing this cooler around trying to get the handle upright when I'm trying to carry stuff in my other hand. It's also pretty chunky but I think that's a good thing since it's top priority is keeping things cold and it does that perfectly.

Excellent cooler
Insanely great cooler, I had to return because I needed slightly bigger for the box I was putting it in but the cooler is 100%

The “Pelican” case of lunchboxes!
I work in construction, so durability is paramount. Any given product I buy for my job has to meet some basic criteria. It must be relatively lightweight, must include enough space to apply obligatory stickers, and must be durable. This cooler meets all of those. I’ve been through my fair share of those cheap Igloo coolers, and they all suffer the same fate. The handle falls off, the lid pops off too easily (eventually wearing down the nubs too far and at some point the lid won’t stay on at all), and I constantly have to top off with ice to keep my beverages / food cool. In the winter time they are completely useless at keeping food warm. I actually loved this cooler so much I bought the largest one they make. Pros: -Keeps food warm / cool. -Built to last. -Can be used as a seat. -Comes in the classic “lunchbox green.” -The gasket keeps things from leaking out and rain and dirt from getting in. -Makes you look like you actually work with your hands. -Can definitely keep your coworker’s fingers on ice when he decides to forgo using a proper clamp / vise and instead uses his hand. Cons: -Expensive for what it is. -There are little notches to keep the handle held up instead of dropping down to the side. Some view this as a good thing, I am not one of those people. -You will need a pry bar to open the thing the first time after it’s delivered. The larger boxes don’t have this trouble, just the 7 quart ones. -The elastic cord loses its elasticity quickly. -The 7 quart box doesn’t fit bottles of water unless put in at an angle, meaning you can fit only about two bottles in it. -No easy way to clean the notches where the elastic band weaves through. Not really a huge deal but would be nice if they were removable by screw instead of being riveted in. Overall, is this box the best bang for your buck for your average person? Probably not. This box was clearly designed with a market in mind, and that market is those who spend a lot of time outdoors / in rough terrain, and construction workers. You’re paying extra for the thing being essentially bulletproof.

Mantiene por más tiempo el hielo
The media could not be loaded.
