Runs small but good quality

These shoes are well made. High quality materials and construction - and machine washable! I ordered a size 2 and they are labeled as such. Unfortunately, they are sized the same as the OshKosh and Carter's size 1 shoes that my son is currently wearing. I took them out of the box and noticed that they didn't look any bigger than what is on his feet today, so I laid them out sole to sole to compare. Identical length and width right out of the box. I'd still recommend the purchase if you size up.

They are great for learning to walk

My son loves his shoes. They have great ankle support. It is a little hard to put them on at first but they just need to be worn a couple times or left in a hot car. I like the they are snug around the ankles it helps support so his foot wont buckle.

Good not great.

Nice shoe but kind of hard to get on and off for the first few weeks until it softened up. Some weeks later and it already has some frayed strings popping up. Not our favorite stride rite we've had but will get the job done.

These are pretty good, but not perfect

Ordered a half size up per the recommendation of Stride Rite and we didn't have an issue with size or ability to put these shoes on. I bought these on Amazon instead of from the manufacture directly because they were about $15 cheaper here. What I don't love about them is that the stitching on the top seam is unraveling, as others have mentioned too. This happened within only about a week of wear. I expect better quality from this brand. I also don't love that they are marketed as "mud" boots, yet my sons feet get wet in them when walking on any type of wet/soft ground. If they were made of "premium leather" as the description states, feet would be dry. What I DO like about them is that the sole is flexible and they have a nice sturdy tread. My son uses these when we walk in the woods and he can easily climb rocks and over roots. They also look real nice with any outfit even dressed up. Overall I'm undecided if I would purchase these again. I'm disappointed that they look like they are falling apart and that they aren't that great in wet conditions. I purchased these with the intent to be used for hiking and when playing outdoors when the ground is soft and I don't think they are meant for that purpose. If I were to purchase these again, their intent would be sneakers or dress shoes.

Good quality and being able to wash them is great!

My 6 year old son has autism and was going through a phase of taking off his shoes all the time. Decided to try high tops and these worked great. Being able to put them in the wash is a huge plus

sturdy but not to heavy

finding quality shoes that a small child can walk in is a challenge. these find the sweet spot between being supportive and protective but not too clunky. and my son wears orthotic braces and we can even fit these over them!

These are great. Our son wears them to school, church, just about anywhere. I like the support they offer and they are easy for him to put on himself.

Nice shoes but I gave them a 4 because the strings at the bottom or elastic in them really tight, hard to get on
