My water tastes completely different now
I’ve used a Brita filter for years but saw that this filters out more bad stuff. It is bulky so it’s kind of a pain if you have a small sink like I do but it’s totally worth it based on how different (better) my water tastes now. Also when you install it make sure that the threads on your faucet are clear. I couldn’t get the unit to screw on and almost gave up but then I cleaned the gunk off of my faucet head and it went on and stayed on. Didn’t give it 5 stars because it’s bulky and heavy - not a manufacturer flaw - just the nature of the unit.

Affordable water filter system
I like the earthy green color and their water systems really do make the water quality better I feel a lot safer drinking water with this on my faucet because I live in a city I'm not so trusting of the water but with this on my faucet I no longer have to buy bottled water which is a plus in my book and it will let you know when it's time to change the filter the best part about it is every 3 months you can change the filter so if you buy a four pack you have all your filters for the year and the water quality almost taste like you are drinking it from a spring

Not Made of Stainless Steel
Update: After 9 months it has sprung a leak. It is still functional, but wastes some water. After 3 months, this filter system is still working well, and the water tastes good. I also like the way that the filter switch lever works (which annoyed me on the last Britta system that I had). I am concerned about how long this system will last, though. I bought this one, because I was tired of replacing plastic Britta systems and this one (chrome color) is listed with a material of stainless steel, but it is really all plastic, unless there are some stainless steel parts hidden inside, which is not what listing the material as stainless steel suggests. I am not optimistic about how long it will last. Another thing that surprised me is that the capsule that holds the filter cartridge is bigger than I expected, and the horizontal orientation of the capsule means that it doesn't fold back out of the way much, so it is often in the way of doing other things like washing bowls that I tip up on that side by habit. This was not an issue with the smaller, vertically oriented Britta filter system that I had used prior to this. I can retrain my hands to tip bowls the other way, but it would be better if it were less in the way. I see now that there are vertical capsule PUR filter systems (I should have done more homework), but the large capsule is still a concern.

Excellent Replacement
After years of use, the battery in my PUR faucet filter died. My stock of replacement filters fit the replacement unit that qualified the purchase. Very easy to install and contains all of the needed adapters. A decent price for a product that effectively filters drinking water.

Almost 5 Stars but not quite
The new design and color options are great but they reversed the strength of the water flow. When you run the filter, it's almost as if the design team was attempting to create a laminar flow for a visual appeal because the flow is at least half of what it used to be. When I turn off the filter to use the tap, water goes flying everywhere because of how strong the water comes out. The connection to the faucet is finicky. If you adjust your Pur filter frequently you may notice some leaking and have to retighten the connection often. I miss the older snap on feature but I assume that would be the weakest point, although I never had an issue with it. This newer design does have a really sleek appearance though and not a lot of places for grime to build up like the older models. Holler if you hear me!

Large lever to switch filter on and off.
I like my new faucet filter. It replaced one I had for four years. I like having a color other than white! The only it got an overall rating of four is because the filtered water could come out faster. I have issues with dexterity and really appreciate the large lever used for engaging the filter.

Looks giid
I unwittingly purchased this for the kitchen faucet in a summer house and was dismayed to realize that it didn’t fit over the pull down, wider faucet Had it fit, it would have been attractive and easy to use..

Adorable purifier
I loved fun color pops throughout the house and this made it so the kitchen could be a little fun, as well. Love the purifier, great brand, easy to “install” and use. Love having the peace of mind our water is being filtered. Would definitely buy again.

Great Product & I’VE FOUND THE SOLUTIONS !!!
I’ve been looking and researching water filters for a long time. A filter that would suit my needs by being compact, long-lasting, intuitive, easy-to-clean, not too expensive, not a hassle to set up / maintain and with the actual fact it could clean the water. I decided to get a faucet filter since water bottle filters were also a struggle. I have some good news below that could help you if you’re experiencing the same issues. PROS - Great quality materials for the construction of the product (Feels really nice too) - Water tastes amazing (in my opinion) - Attaches to faucet perfectly (plus, they provide multiple different attachments incase your faucette is different) - The filter has an LED to display roughly when the filter should be replaced (I’ve heard and seen many people say their LED light goes off after a while. I’ve noticed that the light returns when it changes color --- Green to Orange to Red) - Easy to clean (be mindful of rust or deterioration after an extended period of time. If maintained and taken care of, the quality can be kept. The last thing you want is a rusty old thing in the floating your cink) CONS - Filter Replacements can be quite expensive for every 3 months especially since I am trying to drink 1 Gallon of water a day. (FOR ME -- I'll keep the filter in for a bit longer than requested. It’s still going to be better than unfiltered water) - Takes time to get used to it if you haven’t used a faucet filter before. It’s bulky and if you have only 1 cink you might knock it here and there. (MY SOLUTION -- After some time you’ll get used to it. :)) - Leaks Leaks leaks. I experienced a ton of leaks in almost every way but after multiple days to weeks I was able to find a solution. (MY SOLUTION -- I will provide a video representation so that it is easy to follow) After a couple months I will write an update on its durability and overall performance. For now the product is good and doing very well.

This is a US product that does not fit to UK faucet
I bought a product sold in the UK for the UK without the right adapters for the UK. Customer service does not ship adapters outside the US and Canada so it is a disgrace that you buy a product in the UK that you can not use in the UK unless you can find the right adapter on your own, at you charge and risk. This is unacceptable. Customer service did not even give me the option to return the product. I spent around £70 for nothing.

Late review but better than no review
Ok I realize this has been a long time coming but you know how it is, you get busy and forget about these things. This is the 3rd pur filter I’ve bought in the last 12yrs. My son and I drink a lot of water so I figured I’d put a filter on each tap. Now 1st I wanna say Canada has world class tap water and in 99% of the cases a filter isn’t needed and actually won’t do much. Most people who think they taste a big difference actually aren’t and will fail a blind taste test. I wanted the filters originally to help cut down on the fluoride intake and also to make sure that we aren’t ingesting any lead from the decades old plumbing in our house. I didn’t read the box closely when I 1st got the 1st filter. No it doesn’t filter out fluoride or at least not most of it but it will stop lead. So these filters are more of a safety net in case something were to accidentally get into the water which is highly unlikely. I also wanted to stop my son from being 1 of the millions of people who are delusional about buying bottled water. It’s not better than tap water and is only needed in countries where drinking the water can make you sick. In most cases the bottled water is actually not from spring or mountain sources and actually has been found to have all sorts of toxins and plastic in it. Not to mention that it’s destroying our environment. So if you want proper filtered water then get a pur filter. Save yourself a ton of money, help the environment and stop giving money to companies that are getting millions of litres of our water for a couple dollars. Yes millions for less than you pay for a single bottle of their water. Now as far as the filter design we have found that the upright model lasts a lot longer and had less leaks in the long run. I personally don’t buy the 3 month replacement time frame because we actually forgot to replace a filter for more than a year and the water still tasted great. I’m not recommending that you do this because it’s definitely not as effective but if you go over the 3 month time frame don’t panic. I would recommend that you change the filter as directed if you are using a sketchy water source that’s not in a big city from a state of the art water plant. The other thing to let you know about is that the housing is not metal, totally plastic. It’s very easy to install and all you need is a good set of pliers. Don’t use vice grips or you’ll wreck your faucet! This kit comes with many different o-rings that’ll fit pretty much any faucet size. I’ve never had an issue with not having the right gear for my faucets. Oh yes I recommend that if you can keep the little mesh screen that comes installed on your tap because that keeps hard chunks of mineral and whatnot from getting inside your filter and clogging it up prematurely. I can tell you that no matter the pur model you get the filter inside does a great job. You’ll be safe from many things that’ll likely never end up in your water but still it’s a backup protector. I would give it 5 stars if it weren’t for the body not lasting as well as the old model which I intend on buying again. I hope this helps in some way and I do recommend a pur filter any day of the week over a brita system. Enjoy your healthy healthy water. Hopefully our children will be able to do the same in the future!

Does the job but not quality-wise
Have been using the product for almost 2 years, always changed the cartridges and it does the job. But now, out of the blue, a seal along the line where the two parts of the housing (one part is mounted to the faucet, the other one holds the filter cartridge, but it looks like one piece at first glance) are joined has failed and now water is spraying everywhere, directly out of the body. On top of that it's nothing I can do anything about as this seal is not something you can access and replace. It's simply the line where the two housing parts meet. Reply from the seller was "every product has its life" but for a filter that wasn't exactly cheap to simply start falling apart in places that are not even subject to any force or movement or any external impact, looks like a case of bad manufacturing. Not a problem if this is dealt with swiftly, but simply saying yeah well you have to buy a new one is not acceptable really. Two stars becuase product did the job before falling apart, other wise would have given one only.

Delicious water!
Pro: -Filter does what it's supposed to do! You can definitely tell the water is being filtered when you change the filter. Over time the flow slows down gradually so you don't really notice it. Then after changing the filter the flow pumps out a lot more. I change the filter usually around the time the light turns yellow, which I feel is after about 2-2.5 months. If I remember correctly, in the beginning the filters were $60 each, which I thought was too much, considering before I used a Britta jug that was $20 for three filters. Though the last one or two filters I purchased was 30'ish dollars. With the cheaper price now, I don't think I'll be trying anything else in the future. (knock on wood) Now for the only con(small-medium): (mainly why I am typing up this review) -It is only painted chrome. Mine started chipping at the top right below the black twist-on piece, as well as the chrome where the leaver to change to the filter is. Looks like I cant even get a replacement since its been almost two years since I purchased it. So unless you're OK with buying a whole new one every 2-3 years, find one that's made of actual metal or is chip resistant(though I've never seen one). Lastly I just figured I would add instructions based on my experience in the length of time I have been using this filtration unit, in case anyone who reads this is having problems that might be from using it any other way. Do not use it for hot water. Turn on the main faucet first. Make sure its as cold as you can get it, then switch it to the filter. Fill cup to desired level. Switch back to tap mode, then turn off water when finished. About 3 months ago I thought of trying to switch it to the filter first, and then just open the main but the second time water started leaking out of sides of the filters exit point. That told me the housing is two separate pieces and that the pressure from main is greater than the switch from main to filter. So that's why the tap water should run first before switching to the filter(have had no problems otherwise). Again, I have had the filter for almost two years and the only issues I have is the more recent chipping of the chrome "paint". The leaking issue went away as soon as I went back to using it the default way. Hope that was of any help, if not I apologize I couldn't be more.
