Bad experience
It looks like it's advertised. The problem is with the packing and the way it was delivered. The whole helmet was covered with a thick layer of oil. That makes it unusable practically. My nephew needed it for some project. I think they polished it and sent it without wiping out the oil? Bad experience.

Dissapointed....I bought it the first time and was clearly IMPRESSED.. It was a work of art.. i loved it so much i ordered it again the second time...I was really disappointed...it had no strap or inner harness..... the first one did, it was dented straight out of the box...it was finished shoddily...I now have to work on making it comfortable to wear...disappointed...

Helmet is Not as Advertized
I bought this especially because I wanted the helmet pictured, with the "eyebrows" separate and formed from the bowl of the helmet. But what arrived has a soldered on set of brows that are joined in the middle. Other details seem different as well. Also the helmet arrived slathered in a TON of oil and cleaning it was pretty involved.

a good fit, had to pad it a bit so it'd fit snugly, thoug one of the flaps is very loose and the pin holding it constantly tries to slip out with the smallest movement.

Solid, functional, beautiful.
Shiny as chrome - the helmet I got was not dull metal like the photo here. The fit of the helmet is good as it's not as over sized as another medieval helmet I ordered from Amazon (a full face crusader helm). Consequently it took less closed cell foam under the bicycle helmet liner I use to line helmets such as these. With a chin strap thong I added near the bottom of the cheek flaps this helmet wears really firmly - I can run and jump without problems wearing it.

Great Roman Helmet
I brought this for my 14 year old son. Not only did he love it, he now wants a stand for it. Very durable. Not too heavy or light. Just be careful and handle it gentle.

I remember reading that the helmet came lined. It is not. So you'll have to have the helmet lined at additional cost. Also, a tie loop on one of the cheek peices is missing on mine.
