Sturdy

This was very simple to put together. It came with all of the necessary pieces and hardware. The stool is very sturdy. It looks rustic and blends well with my farmhouse decor.

Beauty, Quality. And Function all in one

This is a review of a wooden counter height stool from Hillsdale. This stool is an an absolutely flawless piece of furniture! Out and out gorgeous, an excellence balance between modern and classic styles., substantial but not heavy in appearance. . The top which is at least 2 inches deep is a cross slice of a very old tree, ( No, I haven’t counted the rings). It is solid wood and is comfortable to sit on. I am using it by my vanity which is a high counter and there is nothing feminine looking about it yet it isn’t awkward or out of place. It catches your eye which is a odd comment about a stool, but I guess because it is not what one expects to see at a personal vanity it is rather noticeable and the quality obvious. It reminds me of the type of furnishing that was in the home, of my Grandparents; functional,, simply styled -not embellished , because the beauty was in the wood and in the workmanship. . The stool needed assembly which was just a one person job and completed in a short amount of time. My husband said to put in the review that you should loosely attach 3 legs to the seat, make sure the ring is positioned in the correct direction ( it is labeled), and the screws in alignment, put the fourth leg on, THEN tighten all the screws!

A nice choice if you find yourself short a seat or two

I like that they provide all the hardware you need. These are great for sitting at a counter or if you need to squeeze a few places in at the table. These are sturdy and stylish and can be put together with little headache. They are light weight and can be carried wherever they are needed.

Attractive, substantial piece of furniture.

The Hillsdale Brownington Wood Counter Height Stool, Cottage Oak, is a very nice surprise. It is a heavy stool that looks beautiful anywhere. I have it sitting in a corner with 2 vases on it using it as a plant stand and it looks perfect like that. It also is a comfortable seat to pull up to the kitchen counter. It went together quickly and easily. Only one person needed for the job. This is a quality piece to add to your home. It does have a 250 lb weight limit. The price is exceptional for the quality of this stool.

Substantial seat

The seat is the highlight. The stool is much better than expected. Nice value for money.
