Good replacement for gentle glide

I have always used Playtex Gentle Glide tampons but I purchased these to see if they would be a good replacement since gentle glides are more expensive and hard to find at times. The applicator is a little harder to use since these are cardboard instead of plastic but not a huge deal. These are a good alternative but I still prefer gentle glide best. Will probably purchase again though.

Reliable & Comfortable

The tampon glides in easily like any other playtex, the cardboard plunger is a little difficult but still usable. I'm glad that they used non toxic materials for this specific tampon. I had minimal leaking on heavy days.

What changed?

I’ve used this brand for over 20 years and ever since the stupid SPORT was introduced they changed ALL the tampons! I don’t like the new cardboard stick for the plunger, but I can live with that, what bothers me more is that it doesn’t expand like it used to, they aren’t as absorbent and don’t expand like they should. What changed?? Go back to the original!! This is one of those moments where you ruined a perfect product!

Applicator is difficult.

This is my go my go-to brand in tampons. But the eco conscious applicator needs work. Getting it started after insertion is tough-no doubt because there’s less slip than the plastic applicators. Annoying but not a deal breaker. The Super may be slightly less absorbent than other Super tampons. Not recommended for teens in a hurry or first time period.

Love

Playtex is the only brand tampon I can use (the others irritate me). These seem to be just as good as the original or sport ones. Definitely recommend these

I love everything about this product.

It works just as amazing as the other Playtex products, but with the extra factor of using less plastic. Furthermore, you put less plastic into the world. A must have and can not recommend this product more.

If you have heavy flow, this isn’t for you!

I found myself only reaching for this on the last day of my period where the flow is almost non-existant. They are definitely NOT for heavy periods (even though I got the Super). They are super easy to use though and very tiny. I would probably recommend these to a teen or someone who not used to tampons yet as they are super easy to use. I don’t recommend them to anyone who has a heavy flow and that includes me as well.
