Great scale (if a bit large)

Good sensitive

This is a sensitive scale. The +ve side, it can weigh to accuracy of 0.1 lb or 0.1g. On d -ve side, I hv to press the Tare button a few times because each touch add unnecessary extra weight. So i learn to just do a light tap.

Great size, wish it had ounces

I love the size of this scale. It’s great for large bowls. I wish there was an ounce only instead of pounds and ounces. I also wish it stayed on for a little bit longer than it does.

Seems that it doesn't always provide the correct weight.

I like the scale and it has good reviews, but I don't know how reliable it is. I've seen the weight change slightly by moving a bowl to different positions on the scale (more back or front than middle), and I've seen it completely not pick up any weight when adding. This has happened in some instances where I was adding smaller values to other items. For example, just today I put some mustard on a sandwich after setting tare to 0 and it never registered anything, and I know it was significant enough (more than 5g). It has also happened when adding something like yeast to water. I've weighed the yeast to 2g on a jeweler's scale and put it in water and it never registered the 2g. So it works most of the time, but I don't know how accurate it is for some smaller items when being added, and if that's important (like it is in baking), then this may not be the scale you want.

Love these

I love this scale. It’s large and easy to use and to clean. If you need a scale this is a great one.

Somewhat disappointed.

I purchased this scale because I was looking for a scale that could hold a large 8” wide mixing bowl while I weigh ingredients for bread baking. From that standpoint, it worked well. The problem is that when you measure, the weight jumps around a lot and sometimes you need to weigh things twice to be sure the scale recorded the weight correctly. In addition, when using the tare feature, it is not an instant transition back to zero. When you push tare, the display flashes several times before returning to zero and most of the time I need to push tare more than once before it actually goes back to zero. Finally the scale is super sensitive to being level (if you have an uneven surface you may experience even more problems with the scale.) All in all it works, but for a name brand like Taylor and for the higher price, I am not sure it’s a good value for my money. This one may go back. I have a KD-8000 which I love but it’s to small to accommodate a large mixing bowl.

Very Nice Scale for Large Bowls, Etc., with One Flaw.

This is a BIG scale, which is great for baking, etc. You can easily fit a large mixing bowl on it and still see the display. The ONLY issue that I have is that the display has a textured finish that makes it sort of hard to read because light reflects off the texture. At first I thought it was covered in cellophane or something, but I haven't been able to remove it. You can still read it, but it was a weird choice.

Definitely recommend!

This scale is perfect! I love how slim it is so it is easy to store. It is super easy to use and read. I haven’t had any problems with it at all. It is very accurate. I had been on the search for a scale and just happened to come across this one. I was a great price that I couldn’t pass up. I also like that it weighs up to 22 lbs. most other digital scales I found only went up to 11 lbs. I’m very happy with this purchase.
