Meets My Needs

I was looking for a small carafe to replace my larger Nissan. The new 20-oz one performs just as well as the former. I only use it to keep some fresh-brewed coffee hot for about an hour, and this it does. Some reviewers commented that the lid is a little difficult to screw on and off, and I concur. There is not much room for your fingers to get a good grab onto it, and I am reluctant to grab the latch to assist in turning the lid, as I fear that will hasten it becoming a little loose thus allowing heat to start to escape over time. Sometimes I use the damp dish rag to get a better hold on it; a rubber jar opener pad would also work. They could have designed the lid to make it more on/off user-friendly.

Incorrect and mislabeled item

The item I received was not as displayed for the order. I ordered a Thermos Nissan 20 ounce carafe which was shown with "Nissan" clearly displayed on it. The one I received showed only "Thermos" and the literature that came with it showed only "Thermos Brand". All other pictures on the internet for this item also displayed "Nissan" prominently. The labeling showed the correct part number for the item but I believe was incorrect. I don't know if it was equivalent to what I ordered, but reviews on other sires indicated it was not. In any case, I want what I ordered.

Item not as advertised

The item photo has, "Nissan Stainless" on the outside of the carafe. This is when Nissan was either made in Malasia or Japan. This item has "THERMOS" on the outside, which is now made in China. I returned this item.

HOT COFFEE

This carafe is great. I received it yesterday (10-01-2013) and am using it this morning. I bought this item to replace another carafe (the White Swirl 20 oz) that I purchased in September, it was useless as it did not keep my coffee hot or even lukewarm. This one really keeps my coffee hot, is light weight and compact. I have a Keurig coffee maker and this fits just perfect. It holds two cups of coffee, which is ideal since that is usually all I drink. I do recommend this product to anyone who wants a small compact carafe.

False advertising. This product is just the Thermos base model, not the NISSAN STAINLESS version.

False advertising. I paid $15 more the what was supposed to be Thermos’ upgraded line NISSAN STAINLESS which is what is advertised here & pictured. The picture attached to this review is what actually came in. I already owned the Thermos brand of the same carafe but I wanted the Thermos NISSAN STAINLESS version for a gift. I paid about 40%-50% more for the this one & got the exact same one in. Save $15 & buy the cheaper version.

Great product, too small

Got the bigger one instead and love it. This one is better for 2 cups max. Insulation is fantastic though

perfect size

I use a chemex coffee maker and by the time I was ready for the last cup, it was cold. I didn't want to put it on the stove because I wanted it to taste exactly as it did coming out of the chemex so as soon as it finished brewing, it put it in this little carafe and it kept it tasting great and warm until the last drop.

Small

I didn't realize how small this guy was. It was clearly stated so I have no one to blame but myself. If the size works for you it seems to be good quality.
