Best socks I ever wore
I didn't think I would ever purchase $20 socks but sure glad I did. I work at a steel mine. I'm on my feet for 12 hour days in the crappiest places you could imagine. Most of that is walking on concrete or steel floor grating. It's a pretty big deal to find the best and comfiest work boots you can wear. I recently purchased Wolverine Durashock boots but for some reason my boots kept pulling my socks down. I was constantly stopping every few minutes to pull my socks back up. It was driving me crazy! I went to a local sporting goods store and bought a pair of "Darn Tough" socks that are made in Vermont. They were pretty high end socks but I was desperate to find socks that would not fall down in my boot. Needless to say they to fell off my calf and down to my ankles. I started doing some sock research and found the Thorlos. After reading some of the reviews I decided to purchase one pair to see if they would work for me. Again, I'm on my feet for most of the day walking on concrete and steel grating. These Thorlos socks preformed so well. I never once had to stop during the day to pull up my socks. They were snug but so comfortable to wear. Usually with other socks I wore in the past my socks were wet at the end of the day. Not so with the Thorlos socks. My feet were dry. I was so impressed that I brought my newly wore socks home to wash so I could wear them the next day. I ended up buying 3 more pair so I could have 4 pairs for my 4 day work set. I like the fact that they are made in the USA and warrantied for life! You can't go wrong with that! I wear a size 10 boot and bought large socks. They're a perfect fit! I'll be buying more of these Thorlos 12 hr shift work socks.

Best dang compression sock ever!!!
These socks are super comfortable. I work a 12hr shift, couple days on, couple days off sort of deal. The 12 hours always turns into 13,14…or more. The socks truly make your feet and calves feel great. I had knee replacement last August and still get some stiffness and soreness in my calf. Tried these and live them. I am a big dude, an old college O-lineman from the late 80’s. 6’4, 260. I am pretty fit and have big legs. Calves are around 19” diameter. The XL size fit great. Give you a nice squeeze but not too much. I could use a bit more in length but they land about 2” below my knee cap. I think that’s because I wear a 14 shoe. Size 12 feet, will no doubt fit better. I seriously wish I had these 20 years ago. Since getting this pair, I’ve bought 3 more. They are worth it..!!

They are super thin.
Used for work. So far they ate good..snug, but not too tight. Materials pill a little. Almost sheer on the top.

Ordered larger than chart but still small
I started wearing over-the-calf rubber boots and they were chaffing my calves so I bought these to see if they would help. I read lots of reviews about the sizing charts being "off" and to order larger than what the chart said. I ordered one-size larger but what I received are still small (wanted to wear over-top of compression socks but these are too snug). I also feel these are too thin for how I need to use these. They also make my feet sweat. On a positive note, they do stay in place/do not fall down. Thinking of returning them since I don't feel they are worth the cost and don't do what I needed them for.

Too tight around calf
I have been using Thorlo crew socks for many years. I have extra wide feet and a fairly wide calf. I tried these socks hoping for a bit of additional compression above the crew length. Unfortunately even the extra wide size I normally use would still not fit around my calf. I was forced to return the product.

These are great
When I first put these on, I could tell a huge difference. I stand on my feet for 12 hours at a time on top of concrete. After my first night wearing these socks, my feet weren’t as tired as before, with every step that I took I can feel the support and comfort from these socks. The only bad thing that I could speak about these socks is that they are a little pricey but well worth the money though.

Thick sole and tight calf
I like that these are made in the USA but the first critique of the sock was that they are very tight in the calves. My husband does not have large calves. Also, the soles are very thick. Which is specified in the description. Will be ok for winter use and seem to be durable.

Size chart may be a little off
I love the Thorlos brand. I bought my first pairs several years ago when training for the Susan G Komen 3-day walk. They were amazing. I recently searched for good quality over the calf socks and found these. They are unisex so I referred to a size chart I found on-line. It said a woman who wears size 9 shoes would need a medium in these. They do sort of fit but they are very snug and wore a little difficult to get on. Once on they fell "ok" but don't go as high over the calf as I like and they didn't stay up well throughout the day.
