My favorite boots
Timberland boots are quickly becoming the only brand of hiking boots I’ll buy. My last four pairs are Timberland and have been worn almost daily during the fall and winter months.

100% waterproof, warm, and comfy
I’ve used these boots several times now putting them through the absolute ringer (mostly in very wet and muddy disc golf courses!!) and they’ve been amazing. I’ve never had a hiking boot I’ve loved so much. They’re holding up really well and my feet don’t hurt whatsoever in them, which can sometimes be a struggle for me. I would highly recommend these!

Comfortable but...
I have very narrow high arched feet so finding comfortable hiking shoes can be difficult but these were comfortable straight out of the box but I selected the buy new option when I purchased these but when I opened the box they were obviously tried on already and the LPN sticker confermed that it was a returned product.

I wear these everyday.
These shoes are great. I use my hiking boots every day on city streets and wooded terrain walking dogs 2-3 miles. They have proven to be waterproof and they are nice and lightweight, so I dont feel like I am clodding about. I like that they don't have an abundance of unnecessary seams. My last 2 pairs of expensive hiking boots I bought from REI tore within 6 months of use along front seams, though still usable, are no longer waterproof. They grip reasonably well on snow and ice and are great on hills and rocks, wet or dry. My only complaint is that the top two laces sometimes pop out of the hooks as I think they are placed too far forward on the ankle. I have very narrow ankles so that may be part of the problem. It took very little time to wear in. I do need to add arch supports as I have high arches and these do not provide maximum arch support.

Great book. A little snug with thick socks. Adjust up a half or whole size.
The quality and workmanship is excellent. The color is great. Comfort is good. Haven't been on a long hike yet while wearing them. Would be good in hotter climates also. I would buy again.

Work & Play Boot
*Update* One year later and I’m still absolutely in love with these boots! Hiking in rain, rough terrain, snow, working 8+ hour days - these boots have held up to everything. Not a hole, tear or rip in sight. The leather is a tiny bit worn but that is just through regular wear with zero upkeep or maintenance because I’m lazy when it comes to that sorta thing. Original review from 2018 - I absolutely love these! I am not exaggerating when I say that I wear these for 10+ hours a day. I don’t need steel-toed boots at work, but I do need some that cover my ankles, and these are perfect. I work with water quite often so I can attest to how waterproof these are. I have never once gotten a blister, even while breaking them in. I have, however, experienced chafing around my calf where the boot ends, that is avoidable if you wear long socks though. Amazing support and super comfy, leaving my feet and back pain-free after a long day. I wear them while hiking as well. They really are a work and play boot. I will be buying another pair, again and again and again. These are my go-to. Plus, they are not masculine and look very adorable on and off. I am normally a size 7 so I did order a half size bigger and they fit wonderfully.

Very narrow in the toe
So I do like these boots; they’re not too bulky and they look nice and I think they’d be great if you’re doing less challenging hiking in them. I did a pretty technical 21km hike in them and while they were good, I definitely had a couple of reservations. The first is that they were really quite narrow in the toe box which meant after my feet had expanded and especially coming down steep hills there was not enough room for my toes to splay. This meant I ended up with pretty badly bruised toes. I did size up half a size (maybe should have gone a full size) and the boots felt pretty comfortable at home. Secondly, I didn’t feel completely confident in the grip; my feet definitely slipped under me a few times on some slick root-y sections. Other than that, I was surprised not to get any blisters at all. It was really mainly the narrow toe that was the issue. If you have really narrow feet then maybe these would be great but if you have normal width feet and are planning on wearing the boots for extended hikes, maybe consider something with a little more width in the toe.
