Product is great - Shipping not
This is a well made model that is exactly what was advertised. The problem is Amazon shipped this to me in a soft envelope (also another model I purchased) which resulted in crushed / torn product packaging. Not that I think this is ever going to be real "collector" item, but we all know that the original packaging condition really has an impact on value of collectables. So be aware... it's highly likely the product packaging will be damaged by Amazon's choice to mail in an envelope.

Looks better than the photos once you see it
Looks better than the photos once you see it. Wasn't sure wether i'd be keeping it or passing it on to my nephew. But its definitely for adults only. Not a kids toy. Quite weighty for what it is and the detail on such a small scale is quite impressive. Those weird muzzle breaks? that seem to be on the end of the .50 cals in the Amazon photo's are (thank god) absent on the actual plane replica. But being so small and thin, the barrels would snap easily if mucked around with to much. Its a shame the bomb bay doors don't open but i guess the stand had to go somewhere. And shying away from doing the three white swastikas in this day and age is a little odd. They have been replaced by white X's instead.Though that aspect of the detail is so small you'd need a good eye to notice on this replica. Would look great on a desk, shelf or in a display case which is where mine is going. And all up its a great replica of a B-17 for 155 scale.

Nice plane.
Very nice aircraft. The plastic "guns" break off easily. My son with autism is fascinated by the aircraft from the first two world wars and says it looks like the real plane.

The 909
Being a small model it has good graphics and detail. I bought it because I’m the early 80’sI got to fly in this B-17G at its 1’st air show following it’s LONG restoration in Kissimmee, Fl. The paint is correct but was changed later to regular olive green/gray. This plane was destroyed in a landing accident.

Scale and Detail B17 Nine-O-Nine
This diecast model of the B17 is classic. Classic in color scheme and details. I like the history of each of the planes I have collected from Darron WWTP which is on the box. You have to study each plane not to miss any of the detail that is put into a die-cast metal retention. Assemble 2 parts stand 1 part plane. Value, priceless for a big 'kid' of 70 who loves aviation history of WWII.

Details, Details, Details
It's a faithful reproduction of the real B-17 Nine-o-Nine in a scaled version. The guns, the glass in cockpit, and the images painted on the plane's nose area were meticulously done. Great job in making this plane. Especially with the tragic crash of the real Nine-o-Nine which all indications point to it being gone forever, these replicas will only increase in memorabilia value. Keep up the high quality workmanship, Daron Postage!!

Beautiful Model, Really well presented. True to my recollections of the Aircraft.
I purchased this as a memento of a flight I took in the Collings Foundation B17 909 in August of 2003 at Saranac Lake NY. The model is a fantastic recreation of the aircraft that has subsequently, tragically crashed in 2019 with deaths, injuries & the destruction of the aircraft. I have excellent memories of the aircraft & its crew & the foundation with whom I organised the joyflight from Australia all those years ago.
