Must have for anyone

I work as a general contractor, I carry one of these with me all day, and have several all over my work van, and I end up using all the bits all the time - admittedly I swapped the square head bit for t10/15 as I find I run into that more often. The handle has worn a little over the past 2 years, and the bits too - granted that's seeing heavy daily use, and a bit of abuse, but for the price I just bought a new one. For any homeowner who runs into the occasional need for random screwdrivers this ones for you! (Perfect for your junk drawer).

It's been a pretty darn good multi bit screwdriver. I've used it on electrical, plumbing, carpentry and general abuse around the compound. It got rusty and banged up over the years. The bits I often use are not so true anymore, though I never used them in a cordless driver. The rubberized handle has deep scars and texturing now. But for 6 years, it held up pretty good. Now it's just a spare to toss around. Things I liked about it- It's short and handy, fit's in a tool loop, has lots of useful bit sizes, the bit sleeves are beefy and held bits good. Things I did not like - It rusted quickly on the shaft, the bits wore out with only hand use after 4- 6 years. I've had many varieties of these kind of screwdrivers over the years, this one was pretty OK overall, Replaced it with a made in USA Ideal 11 in one. We will see how it looks in 6 years.

IRWIN Multi-Bit Screwdriver (2051100)

I purchased two of these Irwin multi-but screwdrivers to replace my Klein 11-in-ones that don't seem to be lasting anymore. These screwdrivers have all the most common size bits that I use on a daily basis. In addition to removable 1/4", 3/16 Slotted, #1 and #2 Phillips, #1 and #2 Square drive bits with a 1/4" nut driver sleeve, they also have a 5/16" and 3/8" nut driver built into the ends of the shaft. I will use the 1/4" and 5/16" probably a hundred times a day and I find that the 3/8" is handy for installing ceiling fan mounting bracket nuts. The Lennox multi-bit nut driver is identical to this Irwin except that it has a #3 square drive instead of a #1 square drive like the Irwin, which is the one I use all the time for electrical device screws. I actually have the Lennox driver too and just replaced the double ended #3 and #2 square bit it has with a double ended #1 and 2 bit and now it is the same as this Irwin driver.

The best electrician's screwdriver to have on a desert island.

Large and small phillips, flathead & robinson bits. When you pull the large bit you have a 5/16 nutdriver great for ground screws, the small flathead for switch plate screws, pull that bit you have a 1/4" nutdriver. Pull the small bit holder and you have a 3/8 nut driver good for telcom cabinets. The robinson large and small bits are good for devices, circuit breakers and panel neutral/ground screws. Don't leave home without one

Best screwdriver available!

I am an Irwin fan! Now that craftsman tools is dead, I only purchase Irwin tools. They are by far the best made and most durable. I have purchased several of this particular screwdriver, and have given them as gifts. They are always appreciated, and I am told often that it has become the favorite of the individual that I have given them to. Well worth the price, so buy several and give them as gifts, plus have several on hand for yourself. One in each vehicle, your junk drawers, tool boxes, anywhere and everywhere that you might need it. Very handy and reliable! Well built and sturdy! A definite value!

Great tool

This is a great tool. I bought it for my wife's birthday. She was fairly ungrateful when she opened it. I did anticipate this outcome so I bought her a hand held vacuum cleaner as a backup present. Crisis averted. The Irwin is now mine and nobody got hurt that's the main thing.

Buy one for the work bag and one for home

As an electrician. This is one of my most used tools. Has everything that I need in a multi tool. Sometimes I take bits out if it's a tight spot, or split the nut driver for one side and the Phillip's for the other side of a machine screw works for nearly all jobs. In comparison to the Klein and Lennox versions this is my favorite. I have friends that say the bits fall out of the Klein too easily and the Lennox is missing the #1 Robby. Good build quality. And a good price if I loose it on site. Stuff happens.

Best multi-driver I've used

Wanted a multi-driver like this to keep inside the house so I'm not always running out to the shop every time I need a screw driver. This Irwin is really well built and durable, and comes with all the ends you could ever need! Solid choice at this price to keep in our junk drawer for inside needs!

Unless you need t10 and t15 Torx bits, this is probably the best multi-driver you'll ever own

Bought two of these, one for my tool pouch, and one for home. They're wonderful. Best multidriver I've ever owned. Solid construction, bits stay where they are meant to, stupidly easy to shift between your most often used bits if you set it up right. Only reason why it's not in my tool pouch any longer is that it turns out I need an 11 in 1 driver, so Klein it is. Still really happy I bought two of these Irwin drivers.
