Wire isn’t long enough

Once installed it works great. Was supposed to be suitable for a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country. The wire was short by about 6 feet. Had to buy additional wire elsewhere. Other than that, no complaints

Exactly what you need if your vehicle already has a 4 way flat trailer plug.

This kit included everything I needed to install a trailer brake controller in my Jeep. I already had the 4 way flat plug but needed the 7 way plug with power and brake wires to keep the trailer batteries charged, and to operate the trailer brakes. Installation is pretty straightforward. The kit includes a few zip ties, but I ordered some much bigger ones to strap the cable to my frame rails. After watching a few videos online I was able to install it using their suggestions for locating the circuit breakers. The hardest part of the whole installation is tapping the brake signal wire. It is in a very difficult location in my vehicle. But since this kit will work with any vehicle with a 4 way flat plug, your installation might go easier. I wish it included some wire loom and some bigger zip ties (and more of them). But otherwise it's a great kit. Probably the best available.

Works fine on my 2009 Subaru Forester

Took me a few hours to run the cables and get it all working, but long enough to make it all the way to the engine bay with some to spare. I ran it mostly inside along the door channel. Well made. You do have to have a multi-meter and some experience with wiring diagrams. I'm sure I saved several hundred dollars doing it myself.

Makes it quick and easy

There is plenty of length on a regular cab long bed truck to go from the back to under the hood and into the cab with the duplex wire. I followed the factory harness along the frame rail to under the hood by the PDC, mounted the breakers there, and then went into the cab. For a longer truck, additional wire would be needed. I skipped the electrical terminals and scotch locks the kit comes with and used crimp connectors with built in marine heat shrink for a better result. I made a bracket to hold the 7 way to the back bumper, and it's ready to go. Will definitely buy this kit again. Directions are straight forward and easy to understand.

Pretty good but not perfect

The package only has 2 large ring terminals, but you need 3 in order to install a brake controller (1 on negative battery post and 2 on positive battery post). So now I need to go to AutoZone to buy a new one. Also, the wires are a little short and I didn't have enough leftover wire for one of the breaker-to-battery wires. I pieced together a long enough wire but not ideal.

good quality product! i had enough wire for my jeep liberty therefor didn't need to buy more. i did need to buy more tie wraps, and a bracket to attach the 7 way. although i had to buy these things (which in all fairness could have been included for that price) what i really was hoping for was some instructions. eventully figured it out though researching online. But i will repeat, good quality!
