Heavy duty

I like the flat base! It is heavy steel! Really easy to put together and can always be tightened from the top. designed well and should be very durable for years of use. I placed it on a heavy duty 24 inch plant dolly and can move it around our patio. The flat top can hold some bricks which makes it even tougher for wind. One of my best finds.

Haven't lost our 9' umbrella yet. We do fold the umbrella when not in use though. At $20 less, it would be five stars.

Strong & sleek

I had ordered a different stand and it didn’t hold my umbrella on a tilt. I came across this one and it’s perfect! It’s sleek and slim so it fits easily under a bar set we have. It’s not in the way for someone to trip on and hidden enough to enjoy the umbrella. My husband and I were both really impressed how strong it holds, even with the umbrella tilted & the winds.

Very good quality — it’s a keeper

I just received my umbrella stand today and had a very positive impression. Very sturdy, and low profile so it can be tucked into the corner without being obtrusive. I am going to order a second one now that I see how nice it was. Installation was super simple. I put it together without tools. I can tell this will last a long time because the parts are so sturdy. Even if it were to break, it seems easily repairable because the parts are so simple and would be no problem to replace. I will never buy another plastic umbrella stand again as my other one shattered after being out in the sun a few years. This metal flat kind is my new go to. I also love how low profile it is. Just a metal plate that you won’t trip on. I’m going to put two in front yard to cover my succulents from rain during winter — then during summer I’ll move one to the back patio and have one in front and one in back for shade. Love it and so glad I got this.

Solid stand. Read for easy fix if umbrella wobbles with this stand.

I’ve seen a few other reviews mention that it proves difficult to keep an umbrella from wobbling with this stand as the tube attached to the base may not provide a snug fit with the umbrella pole. My solution to this was to pop the top plastic ring off of the top of the base tube, turn the umbrella pole upside down, and put the ring around the umbrella pole. I then took some adhesive furniture pads (I used the largest ones that came in the set of the “Furnimate” brand “Self Adhesive Felt Furniture Pads” which was $13 on Amazon) with the adhesive side facing the umbrella pole and attached them to the bottom part of the pole until they covered most of the pole that goes in the base, cutting off the excess. This has worked well enough to keep the fit snug and minimize wobbling. We have also put some heavier plant pots around the base to keep the wind from causing too much movement of the base. Hope this helps.

Great product

Great quality product. It’s so much better having a thin umbrella base. I actually had this in my basement for two years and when I pulled it out, one of the rubber feet on the base had cracked. I emailed Tropishade and they mailed me 4 new feet free of charge. Great product, great service. So happy.
