Yes they last a pretty long time
In every post I read that you have to use this dye ASAP! I was so stressed about this and hurried through. Then I left about 4 of the dyes in their containers for about a YEAR. Just used them, and though not as bright, the muted colors were absolutely fine, bright enough of love. I'm not sure, but the key could be a soaking of the fabric in Soda Ash. So please don't freak out and hurry, you can do the dyeing over a couple of days, just use Soda Ash

Half and half
Some of the colors were great! Now the green and red turned out blue and pink! Very disappointing because it was a Christmas shirt, I ended up making a different decal for it

Wonderful starter Kit, Patience is key!
Buying this kit was a "no-brainer" as I was searching for a simple kit with many color options, and pretty cost effective. I'll add some tips that will help your colors pop, and stay sharp wash after wash. Get yourself some organic urea nitrogen, and soda ash for dye. Both can be found here on Amazon under the "Jacquard" brand. Dick Blick has both of these items for considerably less cost, but I wanted everything to arrive at once so I ordered everything from Amazon! Step 1: Add two cups of the soda ash to two gallons of warm water, and dissolve. Be careful with this step as the fumes can be quite caustic. WEAR GLOVES. The soda ash will severely dry out your hands, and its just an unpleasant experience. Add items you wish to Tie dye to the water, and soda ash mixture, let sit for around an hour, be sure that items are thoroughly "soaked." Step 2: since the dye is in 12, 4 ounce bottles, add only one half tablespoon of the urea organic nitrogen to the dye powder before filling with warm water, and shaking! Shake it up!! Shake it real good, y'all! Now, your dye bottles are filled, your items are soaked, and your knees are shaking because you are ready to dye! Wring out all excess water from your items, and choose your design. This kit has a paper showing different designs, but YouTube is a great place to look up ideas! Now, if you wear any size shirt greater than a Men's large, I recommend doing the "sunburst" design, as it takes considerably less dye to cover, and saturate. Smaller items will look much better tie dyed, such as socks and underwear. As you can see in my photos. Finally, you've dyed all the things! Use plastic bags or saran wrap to wrap them each individually, never place two dyed items together or the colors will bleed into one another. This kits specifies to wrap for 8 hours, but I waited around 18 hours before unwrapping. Rinse excess dye out with COLD water, and wash on delicate, with cold water! Dry however you wish! I hung mine up to dry.

LOVE this brand for tie dying, love this kit even more! I've purchased multiple of this kit from this seller. I've only used one thus far & it was great! Got to teach my niece how to tie dye for the first time & it did not disappoint! Pictured is just the baby onesies we did to see what patterns I'm going to want people to make at my baby shower (if we're able to gather in October that is) 2 of these kits will be perfect for the event! All together we made the 10 onesies, 2 plus size adult women shirts, 1 child's tank, shirt & pants & an adult tank & shirt....so 17 items all together. While we used up majority of the blues & purples, as those are our favorite colors, there was still a TON of dye leftover. So the 36 item label I could see be totally true! The last 2 I ordered came much quicker than i expected them to, which is always an awesome surprise. When they come back in stock snag them while you can! With them being out of stock everywhere prices have gone up each time they restock, but so far it's still been worth it to me!

Fun and easy!
We did this for a birthday party for a four year old and even the littles could do it and be pretty clean about it! We got, I think, 20 projects out of this kit and the colors are SO VIBRANT and all worked really well together.

Excellent, fun craft
The kit was fun and relatively straightforward. The suggested designs were helpful even though we ended up looking up more complicated ones online. We dunked the clothing in water and then wrung it out well enough before rubber banding them into desired designs. When it came to the actual application, it was messier than expected. We did it outside on plastic tarp but the liquid kind of squirts everywhere. I wouldn't recommend trying to do small/intricate design with these bottles alone. We rotated the clothing to try and saturate fully from all sides, but again, it got really messy. After we were done applying it looked like the underside would end up an ugly runny brown, and I was worried. But it definitely did not turn out that way! We let our shirts sit for 24 hours because that's how long it took the sweatshirts to become mostly dry, then rinsed them well and put them in the washer with just a teeny tiny bit of laundry soap on cold and delicate, large load because it recommends using excess water to wash. Everything turned out really great and vibrant and not brown at all!! However, we used every bit of all the bottles except for the brown one, and ended up with two crewneck sweatshirts, a short sleeve tshirt and two long sleeve tshirts (these two aren't pictured). If we hadn't done sweatshirts and long sleeve shirts we MAYBE could have made 8 tshirts total. The kit says you can do up to 36 projects, but unless you're tie-dyeing headbands and bandanas, that part is not true. Overall good product, though.

Purchased this - new but open box- IT WAS USED
Purchased this - new but open box- IT WAS USED, loose powder all over the box, half the pigments were gone. I still use it because I was on a deadline and needed to finish some projects but I had to go out and purchase another kit because this one (was supposed to have 12 colors) was used!!!!!

Bold colors
Ordered this in 2021 finally got around to using it July 2022 and it was great. Easy to use, bold colors, used 4 colors and made 4 shirts and 1 bag (and maybe could've done more as we had a bitnof leftover dye). Only taking away one star because it would be great if the bottles weren't pre-filled with the powder so that you can make the amount you want and whatever dilution you wanted and maybe use the same color later. Once you prepare a color, you have to use it in that dye session, so keep that in mind if you want to use this kit multiple times or are sharing colors. All in all, great kit, easy instructions, all necessary material provided (aside from some basic household supplies like a bowl, clothing rack, etc and you need to provide items to dye). I would purchase again.

Great value for money. Fun activity for all the family!
I bought this at the beginning of the summer holidays to keep my little girl entertained. And boy did it! Had so much fun. Amazing how far these go and how much tie-dying you get out of them. Good selection of colours. We ended up using the Amazon box to keep everything together. We even had a dye tie session at her birthday party and bought school pe bags and pencil cases to tie dye too. Make sure you have some sandwich bags, elastic bands, and ice cubes ready as we ended up you-tubing and it really sparked the creativity in us. My poor partner even has tie-dyed pants! Vests are s really cheap item to do, and they end up looking like proper t-shirts. Great for all the family!

Fabulous fun.
The bottles arrived promptly with easy to follow instructions and all the equipment required. Great kit and comes with my recommendation. 2 bottles to about 3 t-shirts, depending on size and design. Easy to use and easy project for older children. Loads more designs on You Tube.
