Great Product!
It seems these tools, should be the ninth wonder of the world. After dropping small screws every time I tried installing them, I decided to buy these screw starters. It will amaze you at just how well they work, and I wished I would have purchased them long before now!

Perfect for small parts
Tool is great for small hard to reach screws where you can’t use magnets like a computer or old electronics. For the $11 even if you only need to use it once your pretty much get your moneys worth. Only issue is you can accidentally slide the cooler all the way down and it could get stuck.

Holds virtually any screw for starting
I have been searching for a screw starter like this for years. I already have a starter for blade screws. But I needed a starter for phillips, torx, square head, and star head. There are a few starters available for phillips but this starter does a better job on Phillips and holds all the rest as well. I rarely use blade screws anymore and I am tired of stripping Phillips and having to drill them out. Torx and square head are a little better but star head is the best. I highly recommend the Spax Star Head, e.g. the 4191020400406 which is a "Wood to Wood and Wood to Masonry" #8x 1-1/2" Star head. I bought a 1 lb box at Home Depot. Spax is a German Company and "No Pre-drilling" is required. So far, Amazon only carries Spax in the Phillips head which I use for small sizes unavailable in the star head. I bought the Spax Screws in individual boxes at Home Depot in all the available lengths and only use Phillips for screws less than 1-1/4" long. Don't bother buying the sets of different sizes. I recommending buying individual boxes of one size. For specialty applications, you can buy single large Spax star screws. GRK Fasterners also makes an excellent Star Head. I buy the finishing screws with a trim head. They are larger than finishing nails but unlike nails they are easy to remove. Buy them from Home Depot orGRK 772691177247 8 by 1-Inch 1/2 Containing Equal to 100 Screws Trim Handy FIN, 1-Pack The quality of the above screws are so good, that they can be removed and reused. All of the other screws should be discarded after they are removed because the head is damaged which makes removal a second time very difficult. These screws are also significantly stronger than cheaper screws. So you must judge, what is more important: your time or a few cents more for a quality screw. And this screw holder works well will virtually all of these screws.

Quality.
Great for helping start a screw in the smallest of spots.

Wish I had it years ago
Wow, the headaches this could have prevented. I can't even understand those that say it doesn't work. It has helped me several times get into those awkward spots. No issue with phillips in real-world use, but I've also tried it in nuts just experimenting, and seems to hold them well also. Not good for tiny items, use a "Universal Mini Nut Starter" for those.

High quality made in USA
In this age of so many manufactured items made poorly over seas (you know where !) it is an absolute joy to see an item of this quality. Made in USA . High quality, well made and it works ! I bought another one to give my son after I saw how great this screw starter was. No regrets buying this item. People have forgotten what using a quality tool like this is like.

Dead ringer.
This screw starter is identical to a Craftsman branded screw starter that came in a small tool pack I bought from Sears years ago for carburetor and ignition work. I got this one so I don't have to raid my tool box to service computers. I'm planning on ordering the slotted screw starter in the future for servicing brass scale model railroad locomotives.
