Nice pad

Fit my circa early 1980's Makita 1/4 sheet palm sander perfectly. Self adhesive seems to stick really well so be careful to set it on squarely as it might prove to be a one shot deal. Dense foam pad so not sure how long it will last. I replaced the original which looked to be a thick wool or felt type pad. Getting the old pad and its adhesive off took some elbow grease and acetone but I love this old sander. Took a couple weeks to get here but the fit and function seem just fine and the price... perfect

Held up well after weeks worth of heavy sanding

This worked out well. Adhesive stuck. Cleaned off old pad and all adhesive with acetate. Only problem: I went back to buy a spare and the price DOUBLED IN JUST 5 days from$5.09 to more than $10.00. Not sure it’s worth $10 to keep a spare around.

More time needed to clean the old adhesive from the backing plate.

It does not come with metal backing plate. You need to clean off the old backing plate and apply this self adhesive pad. Restored by palm sander into working condition. I would rather have a replacement pad with a backing plate to save time in the cleaning of the old adhesive.

This was a good replacement - thought it did not have have the exact dust vacuum holes as the original pad. Not a big deal as drilled and made my own.

Pad as expected

Pad is what I expected. But, it took three weeks until I received via USPS! For cost of pad, $2.50, can't really complain as no shipping charge.

Doesn't get better than this

What can I say ! The foam is foamy , the black color is perfectly black ! The four holes are are cut to .0001 tolerances . I would have paid at least a quarter more for this sensually pleasing item .
