Not made of stainless steel or not corrosion resistant steel...
This clogged up totally in about 4 months. The elbow, attached to the "stainless" union, is shown here for reference. It is stainless steel and has zero corrosion. The union is deteriorated beyond belief and unsalvageable. The union was connecting the steel tank and stainless elbow to the copper piping with a bronze/brass compression 3/4" to 3/4" MPT on the copper side of the union. The black rubber neoprene seal and the red plastic insulator inside the large nut were all in place and assembly lubricant was applied per the manufacturer's recommendations. Don't bother with this one. You'll be replacing it in no time!

Poor thread fit
The nut to tighten the center transition to the hot water heater was slightly larger than the threads. Result was bad leak...un- usable.

Not stainless steel
I didn't install it because it was not stainless steel. It did not pass the magnet test. It may be galvanized at best. And it appears to have been slightly used. But I would have kept it if it was stainless steel as advertised. Other than that it looked of good quality.

Wrong part
I dislike the fact that it's the wrong part and a three-quarter by three-quarter and not a three-quarter thread by half sweat. Parts useless and why do the advertise for a part they dont have?

Not stainless steel
Not stainless steel. Description and material both state "stainless steel" but really these are normal steel galvenized on exterior surfaces. I had them installed for several days when filters began collecting rust and exterior surfaces also turned white and powdery. Inside surfaces are rusted.
