Cool idea, falls short on actual cooling power
I finally broke down and got one. Such an inventive idea, I had to give it a try. Cools less than stones, ice, or plastic cubes. I typically drink scotch neat without any cooling, but thought I would give it a trial run, and I could always have it for allowing guests to have a variety of drinking vessels to choose from. I'm not buying a second one for sure, though I consider it a quality product. It's pricey and the cooling is sub par to other cooling, but it will provide a little cooling. Positives: the chill plate actually gets really cold! So cold in the freezer that it burns the fingers a little carrying it for only 25 feet. When that happened I thought, wow, this is going to chill pretty well (wrong - base warms too fast). It looks cool. Nice design on glass and it nestles well into the chiller. Decent quality on glass. Negatives: Nothing will get you the same as direct contact to ice for cooling (youtube on some real temp tests). I do not like watering down (I do use a splash to open up scotch once in a while), thus this was the appeal of the Peugeot, but the cooling power is not much. It does cool some, better than no chiller, if trying to achieve a slightly cooler effect. If I really want to cool, I tend to use reusable plastic coated ice cubes (rotate as many as needed), though stones or steel is okay too - ice ball for guests or an occasional change. This glass and base is nice to have around, but after using it only a few times, I will continue to use my copita and glencairn glasses. I have tried and own many whisky glasses (Peugeot, Neat - Ultimate, Glencairn Crystal, Candadian, and Copita, even Mezcal ceramic copitas, and my own ceramics I threw, I will probably still go get a diamond side lean glass for guests as well [I suspect they are not a valuable taste nuance enhancer]). I reach regularly for the Glencairn with Jar Lid, though I do appreciate my Copita the most for the stem. Glencairn Copita and Crystal give a slight edge to my taste when side by siding them all. So, if you want a great glass, those would be my recommendation.

Nice products, too expensive
I like the shape of the glass, which enhances the aroma of the whisky. The chilled base does exactly what it is supposed to do: chill the whisky just enough to make it more enjoyable. My only complaint is the cost of the tasting set, what I feel is somewhat excessive. Just because the glass is intended for an expensive beverage does not mean that the glass and base need be expensive as well.

this is my favorite glass
This has become my favorite glass, the steekl base works, but you need to be reasonable, it won't chill your whisky as ice, so temperature won't get that low, but there is no dilution, that's specially nice for those who prefer to drink neat or adding a controlled amount of water drops, i will get another just in case i break it. They are not much harder to wash than a glencairn and the leather coaster is nice, i just wish it had a little more grip to the surface. The steel base isn't fully smooth on the upper surface, i suppose that helps preventing it will stick to the glass

Great Gift Item
I purchased this glass as part of a Father's Day Gift for my husband. I will be honest, I saw this and quickly looked for a suitable alternative when I saw the price! Of course, I could not find anything as nice for a better price so I took the plunge and purchased it anyway. He ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT! It's a really nice glass, and the metallic saucer that the glass sits in is a really nice touch. I'm happy that he's happy, but I still don't understand why this thing is $36! If it was a set of 2 I would understand....but $36 for 1 glass is a bit much. He's Happy....So I'm happy!

Beautiful/Functional glass for the aficionado
Awesome glass for bourbon. I use it for the higher proof bourbons that really need to be chilled to properly enjoy. I find that the glass makes nosing more tolerable for those higher proofing bourbons as well. Fit and finish are beautiful, all of my friends ask where I got the glass when the come to visit. I think it works very well with or without the chilling base. My only complaint is that the base only stays cool enough for one drink, after that you’ve lost the chilling effect. Overall, great product, I would definitely purchase this glass again.

Impressive looking, Non functional cooling slab
These glasses are absolutely beautiful. If you want to have something that looks impressive and is not generic, buy it. The only negative I would say is that the bottom cooling slab is non functional, it does look cool but doesnt really cool down the whiskey.

All good but the neck angle is off, i.e. not straight up
Overall package looks and feels great. The packaging is very giftable, in this case, to myself. The metal base is heavy and feels great in hand. In practice, it chilled my drink effectively in relatively short time. The glass does it's job but I cannot smell the difference against Glencairn. I think I'll use the Glencairn for daily drinks and reserve the Peugeot for occasional finer drinks to savour. The neck of the glass, however, was a bit off angle and is very noticeable. No structural issues but aesthetics wise, it looks less than perfect.

The quality. It is a WOW.
It is a nice unique glass, very classy. For the whisky lover it is a must. The item is beautiful and has a feel of quality with no imperfections or damage (Which is surprising because the packaging was insufficient and of poor quality)
