RUNS SMALL - NOT MADE FOR CURVY WOMEN!!

UPDATE: I have now received the size 12 and they are STILL TIGHT in the thighs. I will note, I ordered a 12-32 and they are very long. I ordered another pair in grey, but they only had a 12-30, so I got those (my inseam is 31 so I usually order 32, but 30 works). The 12-30 seems to fit much better, although they are loose at the top and longer than most 30s. They are looser than the 12-32, which makes no sense. I'm officially confused by Vertx sizing. Also, after wearing them for about 20 minutes, I noticed I was sweating. They are not very breathable. Overall, I'm not thrilled with these pants, but I will keep them for the price ($20-30). I am 5'2" and 152 lbs with generous hips/butt/thighs. I have larger thighs than most from horseback riding most of my life. I first ordered a size 6 as I comfortably wear a 6 in most pants, although I fit snugly in a 4. I could not get the 6 over my hips/butt. This time, I ordered an 8, and I could barely get them on. They are extremely tight in the butt and thighs, and wider than I'd like at the bottom. I would have to order at least a 10 to wear comfortably or a 12 if I want to wear thermals. Photos show the fit of these Vertx pants in size 8 and my favorite Wrangler Aura jeans in a size 6 (jeans are stretchy but fit comfortably without much stretch). I am standing straight, but not "sucking it in." The size 8 Vertx give me a "muffin top" where my jeans sit comfortably. I am returning these and will order a size 12. I will update my review when I get them. Note that I will be ordering THREE SIZES UP from my normal size. I have a feeling that the smaller sizes are more true to usual sizing, but the larger sizes are not. If you wear a 4 or over, I would SIZE UP AT LEAST one size. Aside from the fit issue, these pants appear to be well made and the fabric feels sturdy, if not a bit stiff, but that's what I want. I need a pair of sturdy pants that won't wear thin or rip like jeans.

I wear a somewhere between a 6-8 Now these pants have NO GIVE standing they looked good, a tad wide at the calf for my liking but i would have kept them IF i didnt need a shoe horn to get them over my butt lol. I bought a 6 and likely would have better luck getting on an 8 but then the lower section will be even wider so I'll just try another brand. Overall they seem good quality but not designed for a curvy girl imo. For reference I'm 5'9" and 145lbs. Extra love in the thigh and butt which made these just not work

Well made, however

These are well made and true too size, they almost feel like stiff canvas, very tough material. However, do not expect waterproof or even water resistant as they were completely soaked through on an hour walk in moderate rain. Great for sunny,cloudy or very light sprinkle type weather though.

I'm just not a real big fan of these pants. I prefer to wear more "girly" clothing and this one just felt like it was not made for the female form. They have zero stretch and feel very restrictive during movement so I could not feel comfortable no matter what I was doing and only wore them once. If you have any belly "pudge" or a larger rear & hips it just makes them way too restrictive. I think they are made for women who have more athletic body types and just weren't for me. They remind me of wearing scrubs that are too tight. just not very impressed with this style but they are well made and higher quality pants and I also think they will last a long time with proper care but I just don't have the right body style for them, they are very unforgiving.
