I bought an Ultra Breeze full suit when I first started beekeeping as I was somewhat nervous and it worked great. Last summer I purchased this jacket as getting in and out of the full suit became a bit of an ordeal...and somewhat overkill IMO. This jacket is nearly perfect. Easy on easy off, well ventilated, and best of all I have yet to be stung in three years of using the Ultra Breeze products despite having one hive that is particularly ornery and likes to attack my face the second I open it up, even after smoking. This product is well made and certainly worth the higher price in my experience. My only complaint is that I'd like it if they used more mesh on the head section as peripheral vision is not all that great. You've got only about 100 degrees of vision out the front. It's still OK as I'm mostly looking forward, but it's kind of a pain to have to turn your whole body to look elsewhere. I do wear a baseball cap backwards and underneath to keep it pulled back towards my face which seems to help in this regard. Small price to pay for this otherwise excellent suit. I highly recommend it.

Very protective

Great jacket. I've been using it for over a month. You can feel it is well built and will last for years. I've seen others have safety concerns with the veil. I can see this being a problem and have not been stung.

Zipper for veil portion is useless

The zipper for the veil is unusable on the left side. It will unzip, but then will not zip back up again, no matter what you do. We purchased one, and had to exchange it, only to get another one with the same problem. If their zippers are an upgrade, I'd hate to see what they used to be like.

It's the Bee's Knees!

I wanted a quality jacket that is as sting resistant as possible, that was comfortable, that I didn't sweat like crazy in, and that was made well. If clothing is made in China and I can't try it on, I won't order it online. So, seeing that this was made in the USA, I had a feeling the large would fit me and it fits perfectly, it's nicely made, I had thousands of bees flying around me, landing on me, and I never got stung. I am a women, 5'8" 165 lbs and the large fit me perfectly. You can feel a nice breeze through the mesh and I can see just fine thru the veil. I bought the jacket and I wear skinny jeans tucked in socks/leather boots, with pull on knit work out pants over the jeans with an elastic around the bottom of the knit pants. Then puncture resistant neoprene gloves with elbow length dishwashing gloves tucked in the ultra breeze jacket...and I was ready for anything!!

Bees bounce off

I am a new beekeeper and was enjoying spring time with bees out in shorts and a tank top. Once the summer derth started, I was surprised how aggressive bees got. This jacket is amazing for keeping the bees from stinging. They bounce off the jacket. The only thing is that the jacket is not as cool as I expected. If you are out there in the summer, you will be very hot. I ordered a large, but a medium would have been ample enough even with a coat underneath. I wear a size medium/large female top.

Awesome Beekeeping Jacket

I love the ultra-breeze; I am 5'9" and 190lb, 36-inch waist, and I have wide shoulders; it is comfortable; I wear it w/o a tee-shirt in Georgia during the summer and it gets me thru the heat; I wear it in full sun sometimes (just out of necessity with my schedule) and I am fine - and the ambient tip is over 90F in full sun; I am in my mid-fifties, so heat is an issue for me; but this Ultra Breeze really works. I have not ruled out an extension cord and a fan to the bee-yard ... but for now will not need it - the Ultra Breeze saved the day. I would recommend it; and I will definitely buy another in the future.

Works Great

This is the most comfortable jacket I've ever used. It's still a bit warmer than no jacket at all, of course, but if there's any breeze at all it comes right through and cools you down. I'm way less sweaty working in this than I have ever been in any other. I've used it about a year and it's pretty durable, too.

Only the Best

If you spend any amount of time around bees this is a must have item. If you ever run into extremely defensive (Africanized) bees, go ahead and pick yourself up a full suit as well. Best suit I've used by a wide margin.
