Closet staple, cute and versatile

I sized up in this dress to an M after reading a review elsewhere that advised to do so. The material of this dress has no stretch whatsoever. It's a light fabric that drapes fairly well. I am pear shaped with a small waist and wider hips. The M was way too big on top, but only slightly so in the bottom. I've exchanged for my usual size and will update. Seeing as the fabric has no stretch, I'm afraid the small will tug at the hips. Update: The small tugs at the hips a little and puckers in the back, as expected. It would probably have worked over spanx. Probably best for those with a straighter build.
