For removing trim around windows, this is the perfect tool
We live in far North Illinois. Winter here is very cold and the wind always seems to be blowing. Our house has some windows on the West side of the house that have cold air coming around the trim when the wind blows. We thought it would be a good idea to remove the trim and see if there was insulation around the windows and plug any holes that were letting the cold air in. I didn't have any tool that would pry the trim off without damaging the walls around the trim, so I looked for a tool on Amazon and this one is the one I picked because it was inexpensive and looked like it would do the trick. This was definitely the right tool. The business end of this tool is very thin and made it easy to slip under the edge of the trim and start prying it off. Once you get the trim started off the wall, you can easily move the tool down the trim and do some more so that you get a little at a time until the whole piece is off. You don't want to pull it off all the way on one end, because it is likely to snap the trim. So, you work a little at a time up and down until it pops off the wall. The slit in the end of this tool works great for removing any nails that remained behind on the wall. This tool made quick work of removing the trim around our windows and removing leftover nails on the wall. We found spaces where there was little or no insulation in spots around the window so we used spray insulating foam in those spots, let it dry, and then I used a brad nailer to put the trim back on around the windows. This tool is not real heavy but made from quality materials that seem like they will last a lifetime. The handle is comfortable and easy to hold. So, I am very happy with this tool. It does a great job as advertised.

Worked OK - handle kept coming off. Best for Light Duty.
I got this light-duty pry bar to help remove some chair rail and skirt board as I was prepping the bathroom for a remodel. It worked well enough, but halfway through the job the handle slipped off and I had to push it back on every so often. The metal is a little thin, which is helpful for getting behind the trim with a light tap of a hammer - but you'll definitely need something a little beefier, like a Wonder Bar, if the trim is larger, firmly attached and more resistant to removal.

Best when used with 6 inch Steel Putty Knife & Trim Puller for Baseboard Removal Tool
Using all three tools made removing baseboards in 5 rooms with closets a snap. Almost all baseboards could be re-used with only little corner pieces damaged.

My new favorite, fine edge and great versatility.
The edge is very thin but stiff, great for removing trim but stout enough for many larger jobs. The shape is great for levering open painted shut windows, too. Most trim bars are not fun for me; flat, hard to lever, and not versatile. This pry bar is stiff, takes a lot of pressure and is good tempered steel. Made in China, not my preference, but I've not found a domestic product to compete with it. Good value except the country of origin. This is the 2nd one I own, the first went home with my father, a cabinet maker, by 'accident'...

Very thin foot! Great ergonomic handle ! Works as great prybar!
Second purchase, gave first one away. Very handy tool to have around the house. Not just for moldings. Works as great Thin "pry-bar"..... Recently, I had to take the front panel off of an air conditioner and the clips were holding it too tight. I couldn't take it off without having something to wedge between the front cover and the unit itself. This worked perfectly. That was a small air conditioner in the back room. I recently had ductless A/C installed And offered this to the installers To help them do the same thing with the single unit they installed. Laughing, he slipped it in his tool belt and we laughed! My new one comes tomorrow....
