Adjustable lighting

Very nice light but make sure that you have the ceiling space or you will have to shorten the wiring to accommodate the ceiling height.

It’s a light fixture

Love the fixture, the look and interest. A few comments that may help others: * I did install this on a 22.5 degree slope but to do so I cut a 22.5 degree spacer from 2x4 with properly spaced holes and put this between the mounting plate and ceiling, in effect leveling the fixture. * My ceiling is about 14 feet tall at the mounting point, the length of cable suppled with the fixture left the light about 23” higher than it should be and this was with the counter weight all the way to the top. I ordered 2 lengths of 16’ round fabric covered cable and rewired the entire fixture to get it to the correct height and have the weight at a pleasing position. The final result is shown in the photos. The extra cable cost us an additional $55 thus the real cost of the light went up. * As for ease of installation, use extreme caution as you will likely be on a ladder and the counter weight is heavy and you will be managing the weight plus the ladder plus connecting the wiring and the mounting nuts. It can be challenging. Proceed with caution. * Truly an attention getter and we installed a single lamp in the same style in the adjacent breakfast nook. You may be able to see this in the photos as well.

Handsome light

Great looking light. Not so hard to install if you’ve installed light fixtures before. You may need someone to help hold it for a couple of minutes.

Heavy as all heck but worth it!

The media could not be loaded. This was a two person job. The ball weighs as much as my dachshund and on a normal day I don’t want to hold him above my head. Aside from that, it was overall easy to install and took about 30 minutes. It is slightly adjustable with height. We love the look of it and it compliments our dining room light really nicely. The pic and video is front when it was first installed. Since then (about a month ago) the ropes have evened out and are straightened now.

Statement Piece!

This light gets the compliments from everyone is sees it. It takes a little bit to install but we’ll worth it. It definitely takes two people to install but once it’s up, there are no worries that it is coming down. We just went to a steam punk restaurant and they have the same lights over their tables. Very cool to see!

Great light

Great quality, beautiful light. The light is quite heavy with the weight of the ball. Need help when installing. Also, have to screw the base into the ceiling to support the weight. Worth it though. It’s quite stunning.

Does not work for high ceilings - best in standard 8' ceilings

We really liked the look of this product and didn't pay enough attention to the length of the cords. It can extend only about 4' and that ruins the ability to raise and lower it. Our ceiling where we wanted it is 14' (plus the beam ran perpendicular to the direction of the plate that holds up the fixture - but we could have solved that with a cross board). Anyway, we returned it because it would look really silly way up at the ceiling. The fixture itself is solid and the wiring connections all looked really good. It's a good quality product.

Talking Point

I bought this a month ago but had to wait for my electrician to fit me in to install it (installation was not standard change for an existing light), he came today and I am not disappointed at all. This will be a talking point for years to come I am sure, the quality is excellent and if you are changing it for an existing light then it's not complicated to do but just to make you aware the ball is pretty heavy and for that reason we had some additional braces added for extra support. The thought of this falling would definitely ruin the new island worktop and may end up in the basement so just make sure this is well anchored to the ceiling. I purchased NITOR Lighting Edison Style Vintage LED Light Bulbs to go with this and is wired to a dimmer and it really is a very nice light fitting, I looked at lights which were more than double the price of this but they didn't have the quality this one does.

Quality and ease of installation!

You could feel the ruggedness right out of the box. After some small measurments with the anchor plate the fixture was up in less than 5 mins. With one person all I needed was a 6ft ladder to rest the fixture on for wiring. Looks great too!
