Very Nice Outside Door Lights

I bought four of these lights to accent our new doors and windows. They arrived in good shape although one of the glass covers over the interior light had fallen out. But it was easy to glue back in. The lights were easy to install and it probably took less than 2 hours to remove the old lights and install these. And they look great. The style is nicely unique, the glass is clear (not yellow) with a rain drop effect, and it looks like a quality product. My only hesitation is that it is an LED and the light cannot be changed or replaced without replacing the entire unit. They say it should last something like 8 years. And the light is brighter then I expected. The only thing I might have done differently was to get the same light but with the light bulb instead of the LED so I could adjust the amount of lighting. I did not get the light bulb because you would be able to see the bulb through the glass which is something I did not prefer. Overall, a really nice product that I would buy again and recommend to others. (Other note - I originally ordered 4 different lights from Lowes because I thought it would be easier to return them directly to the store if I did not like them. However, when they did not show up after over 4 weeks, I called only to find out they were on back order. Lowes said they would be in stock in a few weeks. After a few weeks, and no lights, I called again. There were still on back order and no one knew when they would be in stock. Lowes never notified me about any of this and, to this day, the web site still says these lights will be shipped in less than a week. Also, my credit card was charged for the lights I never received and were not even in stock. After numerous phone calls, I was able to cancel that order and finally get a refund. Needless to say, this experience brought me back to Amazon once again.)

This light is so attractive! Love it.

The light is easy to install; it looks beautiful on our home. We got 3 for the front of the house and a side door. It provides a good amount of light and projects a triangular pattern down from it. Looks really good.

Attractive but has some drawbacks

This light is probably best suited for a smaller entrance, on a smooth siding surface. I installed it at a double door and it seems a bit small unless you had one either side. I'll probably move it to a back door and replace it with a larger light. It does have a nice warm glow which goes well with the organic pattern. The biggest problem is the size of the base. It is rectangular (roughly 7in tall by 4in wide) to match the shape of the light. That's a problem if you have beveled siding because it will almost definitely span 2 pieces of siding leaving about a 5/8 in gap at the top, or a big overhang at the bottom, depending where your siding lines up with your junction box. I was able to notch the top piece of siding to make mine fit without too horrible a gap. Cedar siding also tends to have a little bit of a curve to it so the large base will definitely show any cupping, and result in a gap at the middle unlike a smaller base that won't show it as much. This can be hidden easily with a bit of trim, but you normally wouldn't expect to have to add any extra trim when installing a light. The LED is non-replaceable, so when that goes, the whole light will have to be replaced. LEDs do last a long time, but they don't last forever. I'd rather have a socket with a replaceable bulb, which would make it last forever or until someone wanted to replace it with a different style, particularly because I just had to cut a large notch in the siding to make it fit to begin with. If you have a flat mounting surface at a small entryway and don't care if it lasts more than about 5 years, I'd probably give it 5 stars but between the design flaw with the tall base and the fact that it is guaranteed to need replacing after a few years, I'm going with 3-stars.

I absolutely love these lights!

Love the looks of these lights! We back up to a park, so the branch effects looks like they are fashioned from nature! Great light, not blinding bright but definitely a soft glow that lights the front of our home enough to provide safety and guide the way to our front door!

Easy install, looks great!

We replaced our ancient porch lights with these. It was a lot more work to remove the old fixtures than to install these. They look great and provide plenty of light. The only drawback, which might be peculiar to our particular outlet, was that the screws that anchor the fixture to the house were a little long, and I had to find some spacers to ensure a firm fit.

Finishing touch to our patio

Love this fixture! We purchased this light to coordinate with our new patio set and boy are we happy! The light is very pretty and sturdy and large and gives off a lot of light. Super easy to install (only took my husband 10 minutes). Would totally recommend!

Very Pretty and Functional Light

Really pretty light, very modern look to it. It’s bright enough to light up a full set of stairs leading off of my back deck so that it may be used safely at night. I’m sure there are brighter lights available but it serves the purpose I purchased it for.

Great looking and easy install

Very easy to install and included mounting hardware was excellent. Looks fantastic and very bright. Bought 4 to replace all outdoor lights and they work great.
