i havent had a pair of daily woorkbboot last as long as this pair. ive been in the pest control industry 28 years. the tread is gonebin less than 6 months. this pair had pkeanty left and continue to be comfortable

Returning after 2 days (Update - keeping them)

I wanted to like these boots so bad. They're awesome looking and the sole is pretty comfortable but they bite the inside of your ankle so hard constantly that they're unwearable. I really cannot express how disappointed I am and I was willing to give them a few days to see if it went away but there's no way I could walk around the house in these one more day, let alone job sites. The last pair of Wolverine boots I had lasted forever and were pretty comfortable so I had high hopes for these. If they could address the issue with these I would rebuy in an instant. It's like the boot is driving the first open eyelet into your ankle with every step. UPDATE- I am leaving the original review because it was the truth at the time and it's a big deal that shouldn't be the case. I ended up in a situation where I had to wear these another few days before returning and they eventually broke in. The break in is BRUTAL on these boots because of those eyelets digging in. I actually wrapped some socks around my ankles one day just for some padding which is ridiculous to have to do. Anyway they did finally get more comfortable for the most part and if you pay attention while tying them you'll be ok after the initial break in. I go easy on how tight I wrap that first eyelets and then tighter on the next two above it and it makes a difference. If you go too tight on that first set even broken in you'll feel them, although with the tongue broken in it's not the sharp stabbing pain it was originally and more of a dull poking annoyance. Still pretty ridiculous that you have to think at all about how you're lacing your boots in the morning. Otherwise now that they aren't trying to kill me they are pretty comfortable overall with some nice shock absorption and lighter than you'd think such a big sole would be (you'll be an inch taller in these). Still very much like the look of them and while there's some wear on them already it's all cosmetic (and my boots in general take a beating). I originally gave these 2 stars and I've added a star now. I was going to give 4 but no one should have to endure the pain these cause in the beginning or have to put this much thought into how they tied them every morning so I can't justify 4 even though the things I like about these I really like.

Slow and painful "Break In"

Nice boot however the break in period is brutal on the ankles.

These are the best boots I've had in a long while. This is my second pair. Work purchased these for me and I liked them so much I have a pair for home.

Update ** Great quality, size up for comfort

2/12/23 These boots are still too tight. Too late to return them. He can't wear them very long without hurting his feet. I would reccomend going up a whole size on these. He has complained every day this past week after work that he can't wait to get them off. =( He loves the boots. He normally wears a 10 1/2 in Wolverine brand. These were lil too tight at toes. He thinks maybe with some wear in time they will be fine. I will have to update in a month on that. For now though. Quality is there, the weight of them is just right, the color is nice. Really hoping with a little bit of break in time they will be perfect so we are not sending them back.

They are very comfortable boots. They so far are tough boots. I work out side in the weather I will give an update to let you know how they hold up.
