Not as rich of a color as shown on amazon, but still useful for me. As indicated, the quality is not what it used to be (solid one piece of leather) but is still acceptable compared to many others, and thus, worth it for me in light of post covid market conditions.

Worth the price

My photo is a demonstration of why you buy Allen Edmonds over cheap stuff. If you look at the attached picture and don't know what I'm talking about, that's fine. You do you. Drink Jim Beam, jam out to Florida Georgia Line and pound Bud Light. Those of you who are and appreciate the difference between fine craftsmanship and the the garbage belts you buy on the internet for $30.00 I strongly recommend spending a little extra for this belt. I have Allen Edmonds belts and shoes I've worn for ten years in Georgia's heat and humidity and stay in style. This belt looks great, fits as expected, and is crafted to stand the test of time.

CHEAP! DON'T BUY! PLEASE DON'T BUY!

Deserves zero stars for the price. Poor quality belt and material. I order in 2 different colors and was shocked at how flimsy the leather felt. The buckle on my Mahogany belt came out of the box with chipping on the finish. I'm guessing it was either returned and resold, or the quality of the finish was poor and it was damaged during shipping. The leather quality is poor and seriously resembles leather vinyl. I'm shocked that AE is marketing this as leather. I am very disappointed with Allen Edmonds because they usually have high quality products. I own over 10 pairs of their shoes, belts, and bags and this is by far the worst quality product that I've purchased from them. Personally, I purchased this belt because it was the only belt they offered in the Mahogany color to match my mahogany shoes. However, the color looks black and you can barely notice that its brown even while shining a light on it. Please save yourself some time and avoid purchasing this belt. AE lost some of my respect for this sale. For something in a similar price point, go buy the AE Manistee belt which is far higher quality than this. For something with similar quality, you can spend $25 at Marshalls and find something better.

Superb leather quality

I have been wearing my Alan Edmonds leather belt most days for 10+ years, finally showing some wear and stitching st the sides coming apart a bit where it gets stressed the most. So I ordered a new one. Seems a bit shorter than the old one but same superb quality and finish. The buckle is nice and strong too, much better than a Coach belt of same vintage where the buckle split open at a corner.

Not quite oxbood, different construction than other AE belts

Colour is much closer to a matte merlot than oxblood. For ~$50 it is not bad, but for $100 not a chance. Will have to see how long the glued(?) construction holds up? Doesn't seem as sturdy as other AE belts I've bought, but hard to say right now.

Looks good. Didn't inspire confidence on construction.

Looks good for a dress belt. However i was disappointed with the construction. Was hoping that given its Allen Edmonds (who make great shoes), this was going to be a single piece of leather. It appears like all the other store bought belts, its a two layers fused together. In my experience with other belts, these start coming apart after a little bit of use. This may not be the case with Allen Edmonds, which are built well, but I just didn't want to take a chance at this price point. So I returned it.
