Excellent product !

When remodeling my bathroom I accidently damaged our exsisting 4515a toilet tank. I ordered the replacment and it came quickly and in very secure packaging. The replacment fit perfectly and even included a full take of cleaning solution and batteries. It also included a replacement toilet seat which wasnt in the item description although I didnt need it, it was nice to get something extra you wernt expecting. Over all great build quality easy to follow instructions well engineered product and packaging and fast delivery. Excellent product ! Well done American standard !

Plastic high-stress part is pure design malpractice.

Very poor design. I bought mine at a “big box” store, but the model number is the same. The flushing mechanism includes a plastic part that triggers the twin plungers. Ours broke, and given the wear, tear and torque this piece bears with each flush, it is likely to break again. The Amazon description claims to use metal parts instead of plastic, even though the model number is exactly the same. If the claim is true, buy it here. If this vital part is plastic, avoid it.

The media could not be loaded. Here’s the 1 year mark. (See video) Have had 3 bad tank tops shipped to get one that was assembled properly as it was non-functional out of the box but no way to know that till it was all installed and water was hooked up to it and it would stop filling. Turns out it was a mis-manufactured top which caused the flush handle to partially depress when top was put on and that’s why a total of 3 tops were sent as finally we demanded a complete factory assembled and tested tank and once they did that, they realized the issue. Does no better “cleaning” than regular toilet. Save your money, after 1 year we are throwing it away and buying another brand. Never had so much trouble from a toilet. The one prior to this was approaching 30 years old and zero problems. So much for an “upgrade” What’s funny is there’s a warranty but after the prior days of calls to get service horrible experience we had, at this point we want it out of our life so bad we don’t care any more and just want it gone.

Twice the flappers equals twice the maintenance.

With two sets of flapper valves you have twice as many flappers to not going seat properly, which of course, leads to the tank constantly cycling to keep itself full. This can be extremely annoying if fill valve is noisy and can be heard though the whole house. Then you have the added 'benefit' of the two valves being tied together by a convoluted lever system to the flush handle. This complicated flush system means that it's even more likely to for the flapper to not seat properly. Bottom line, this toilet is refilling itself every couple of minutes, 24 hours a day. I would say that it's wasting way more water than it was ever supposed to save.

Don't waste your time and $

Poor engineering. The self cleaning unit is a waste of money and really doesn't clean at all even when it's working oroperly. I'm replacing mine with a regular non hi tech lid. Won't be using American Standard again

Eats Batteries, valve failed at one year.

Complete garbage and eats batteries. After 6 months I gave up feeding it batteries. Regardless of use of the activclean feature the 6 batteries die after 3-4 weeks. Now, a year later, the shut off valve is leaking badly. Guest bedroom bathroom, very little use. Very frustrating. Flushes with good flow, but definitely not worth the money.
