Love my APEC filtering system
Changing my older Osmosis unit for this Apec Unit is the best decision I ever made. It is so easy to change the filters and it is economical to use compared to my old system. Love it. We have such terrible water where I live, that I have a Puronics Whole House Softener but I still need the Osmosis system in addition for drinking water.

No Complaints
I really don't have any complaints about this item. It ships from Amazon in the box that was obviously sent to Amazon from APEC. The filters were all hygienically wrapped in plastic wrap (and let me tell you I am picky...I look for ANY issues). I did not notice any tears in the plastic at all. One of the components is external, so it is not wrapped. You just attach it. I order the rings as well and they also arrived without issue. We do let water run through it for a long time after first changing it. I don't know, maybe thirty minutes? It does have a slight taste the first day, so I generally pour it out and drink other fluids. You will also notice a lot of bubbles from the air just from changing it that first day. After that it is as normal. I am grateful for this easy way to order through Amazon. I hope this review helps someone.

So far this system is great
Pretty easy to install yourself. The pressure connectors save the day. We added the "T" for an ice maker - also easy. Very happy with the water quality, and much easier than several 5 gallon jug delivery every week. We just passed one year using this system - and got a nice reminder from APEC that is was time to replace filters. (They did not bother us at all during the year with other emails.). Filters are easily available from them direct, or from Amazon. Not too hard to replace, just go slow and realize the large filter cups are full of water!

Apec Ro Membrane after flush 5 min, Oahu Hawaii incoming Water 182 PPM, after Stage 123, Then Ro Membrane 10 TDS. Third Photo Flushing Stage 5 Carbon Filter, Next Photo Stage 6 Alkaline, After Flushing for 5 Minutes, still white cloud. At 55 PSI incoming water almost 1:1 Water to Drain Ratio. A complete set of replacement filters for an annual change.
I needed to do my 12 month filter replacement. All went well until I came to the pH calcium cartridge. Then I discovered that the set included 1/4" calcium cartridge and my system uses the increased flow 3/8" cartridge. I noticed Amazon does not sell the kit with the 3/8" calcium cartridge, so I had to order one directly from APEC and am stuck with a useless cartridge which was not cheap. Wish they would let you specify size 1/4" or 3/8" or make it more clear in listing.

Same great quality, only beef is that the packing wasn't great (not Amazon's fault). The four parts are wrapped in a single sheet of bubble wrap, fine. But the box is too big so the parts I'm sure have bounced around a bit. Again not a huge deal as they are inert effectively.
