I found this to be a good effective way of moisturizing your hands without getting moisturizer on everything around you, and let me explain what I mean and also compare this to my other similar way of moisturizing my hands. Prior to trying these, I have used a similar method for moisturizing my hands when they need deep moisturization, which is that I would slather them with an extra thick layer of moisturizer, and then put my hands inside of thin, cotton gloves, which are often sold specifically for that purpose. There are things that are better and worse about that method. What I like a little better about the cotton glove method is that the material can breathe, so I feel more comfortable leaving them on my skin overnight while I sleep. Also the cotton gloves can be reused over and over, and can be washed, though I wait to wash them until after they have been used several times, as they only seem more effective as they absorb more of the moisturizer over time or after being used multiple times. The main disadvantage of the cotton glove method is that the cotton gloves become saturated with moisturizer, and that means you can’t touch things, such as your cell phone, without smearing the moisturizer on the surface/screen. These Aquaphor gloves have an advantage here, in that the moisturizer is completely on the inside of the glove, so you can still use your hands to touch things without getting moisturizer on them. These gloves are very easy to use, the package is easy to open and then you peel the gloves open, as the wrist area is sealed closed to keep the moisturizer inside, which does take a little bit of figuring out how to peel the wrist area open, but it is not difficult, and then you find that there is a generous amount of moisturizer on the inside of the gloves. There is a small piece of tape in place on the wrist area, which you peel to then stick the wrist area closed more snuggly, so that the gloves don’t slide off. That is easy enough to do with the first glove, though it is a little harder with the second glove, because you need to use your already gloved hand to peel the sticker off, so it is a little bit harder, but not all that difficult, and it seems like a good method to make sure the gloves are closed comfortably tight without having a elastic wristband. This is a good brand of moisturizer that I have used previously and trust. This is a more expensive method of moisturizing, but the cost comes along with the convenience of having gloves that are clean and dry on the outside. Another example of how this might be useful is that it is a lot easier to grab a TV remote to change the channels wearing these gloves, whereas I would not try that with the cotton gloves, as I wouldn’t want the moisturizer getting all over the remote. If that might be useful for you, then this might be a product worth trying. Personally, I will likely return to the cotton glove method after this, I just remove them when I need to grasp something without getting moisturizer on it, but I do also appreciate that this is a good and useful product. I hope this might be helpful for you. I do like the product.
