Narrow fit
Comparable to other same sized footware,, this item is considerably more narrow than the average shoe or boot. I upsized by a half size and found more room to wiggle but still not much wider. I have gotten more stretch into them with rugged wear but not by much. I still can't wear thick socks with them due to a narrow arch and shallow bridge over the foot just below the front ankle. But a solid fit. Tons of support and even more style!

Before purchasing these, I read reviews about size and fit on other styles. I've been wearing boots since I could walk, and some brands fit larger or smaller than others. I just want to say to everyone to ignore all the comments and reviews from city dwellers who seem to give a bad review on a boot because they don't know how it's supposed to look and feel. Under no circumstances is a boot supposed to feel comfortable. I'm originally from the mid west so I know. Boots are for work, not city girl fashion, but if you must wear it, keep in mind that it is a feeling one must get used to. I love the Ariat brand and they do run a little big. You also must keep in mind the style of toe you order. The more pointed the toe, the bigger you might want to get for some wiggle room on the toes. I've only worn this pair a few days and yes they are tight slipping on, but once on there is plenty of room. I wear a size 6 women's, and I ordered a 5.5. There is still a little room but anything smaller would miss my arch. They rub against the top of my foot, but they're made so they don't fall off when riding. They will loosen up as you wear them. Not wearing to the club, I mean walking in them around a rough yard, thats when you'll feel the break in. Wear them as much as you can to break them in. This style seems to be so that jeans can be tucked in to them, that's why there is a wider calf. If you want that city girl look where they hug your calves while wearing shorts or dresses, try getting a child size and that should do the trick. These also look good with jeans pulled over. The design matches with nearly everything, and I got lots of compliments on them.

Nice boot
I first bought my original shoe/boot size which is a 10. The 10 was way too big so I sent them back & bought a 9. The 9 is a snug fit, but it’s leather and they will stretch. My right foot fit perfect. My left, a lot more tight to where it hurt the top of my foot and the side but after wearing them all day they did stretch out a little and feel a bit better. After wearing them for one whole 12 hour day I am now about to wiggle my toes more, and feel less tightness. It’s going to take some time to break them in to feel completely comfortable.

They look great and are co comfy!
I needed a pair of boots for a wedding I’m in town n Oct. I’m definitely not a boot wearing person. My husband is a farm boy and told me to get a real pair instead of the cheap boots, and I’m glad I did! They are cute and comfortable! I don’t really know how a boot should fit, but I have been breaking them in and love them. There is an orange stitching on the boot. You can’t tell in these pics or far away. It was a surprise when they came. But, our bridesmaids dresses are orange, so it works.

Comfortable fit
These are my go to boots for everything. They look stylish but are also holding up during a house remodel because who wants to step on an nail with tennis shoes on! Love Ariat I will be purchasing this brand again when I need more boots.

They fit my "Flintstone" feet!
Surprisingly good. I have "Flintstone" feet- I swear they are practically square! Typically I have to go up a size (or two!) to get the width I need, which leaves me with way too much length in the toe area. I ordered these in my actual size, 8.5 Wide - and I love them. THANK YOU Ariat, for recognizing that Flintstones need boots too! :) I have not had an occasion to wear these all day yet, but after several hours of wear, they still felt good on my feet.

Not for very high arches
These boots are beautiful, and I believe they would have fit well and been comfortable, if I could have just gotten my foot inside. I have VERY high arches, and couldn't get my heel in past the ankle area. This would have been my fourth pair of Ariat, and loved them, so I'm planning to try another style with slightly more heel/angle of entry. So disappointed!

Not High Arch Feet Friendly
Beautiful detailing and great quality as always from Ariat! Unfortunately, they get four stars simply because getting my high arched feet in them was nearly impossible. Once I got them on, the pressure and friction on the top of my foot was extremely uncomfortable. I love Ariat boots and will definitely be looking for a different style.
