Decent pump

I needed this pump as a back up for a boat and for various household jobs. It is a decent pump for the money but it needs a discharge hose. I had to purchase one separately.

Night and Day difference in tracking

Mounted on two 10' recreational kayaks; Very nice and functions fantastic. The boats tracking is much improved, though steering is is now proportionately more sluggish. Mounting was difficult because I wanted to mount on the back of the kayak where the hull curves up. The skeg is positioned to project about 2" below the kayak bottom to minimize dragging is shallow water/rocks/etc. In this location the skeg would not lay flat, but the pliancy of the mounting lip allowed enough contact with the hull (about 60% of the skeg surface) that it could be mounted solidly with epoxy and rivets.

It does a decent job of pumping water, but did not come with a hose (which I purchased separately at Home Depot).

I carry this pump In my kayak and it is quite effective in displacing water trapped in the kayak.

I have fish tanks and some coolers without a drain and it empties them fast. It did not come with a hose and I had to buy that seperately

Works very well and should last a very long time.

You can remove water from inside a kayak in minutes quickly and efficiently. Adding a 2 foot ejection tube should greatly improve its use.

Exercise caution when testing in your kitchen sink, pumps water when moving handle in either direction, basically if you are moving the handle this thing is pumping water, pro tip: aim away from face.
