Perfect size

Soap fits perfectly. Am going to put teak oil on it before placing in shower but like that it will drain instead of collecting water like a regular soap dish.

Nice Design but It Bled on my tile

I couldn't wait to use this in my new shower. I placed it on the tile shelf and put my bar soap on it. After one or two showers I moved it to clean the tile shelf and the soap tray had stained my tile. Not sure why there would be color coming off this piece. It was supposed to be teak. Should not be stained but only clear sealed.

Nice clean lines.

They were indeed bare wood, so I rubbed them with mineral oil and now they look really nice. I think these soap holders will be just what I was looking for when my bathroom remodel is finished.

Does discolor, but only under the soap's position.

This does discolor, but we placed an opaque, mesh soap saver between the soap and the wood. The soap saver covers the wood where it's discolored. It still looks nice everywhere except where the soap lies (and the mesh covers that up).

Sturdy, well made.

Comes in overly protective packaging. Almost impossible to open. Be careful. Did not bleed color. Every time I use it before I get my hands wet, I use my thumbnail to scrape off any soap deposits. Still looks great and holds together.

Love look, don’t like stain

The soap dish looks exactly as advertised a fits perfectly in my shower niche. Only problem is that it is leaving a yellowish stain on tile.

Pretty good, becomes dull fast

it serves its purpose as a soap holder, but you're better off getting glass or plastic. The pigment in the wood stains clear soap and the product itself becomes discolored and dull within a week or two. Just keep this in mind when considering the aesthetic of your bathroom.

Good for the price, but varnish it for water resistance

Well made and beautiful, it did need a coat of varnish to be fully waterproof without leaking colour ontto the sink though (I just used a quick coat of clear nail polish & it worked perfectly well).

Highly doubt this is teak

I really wanted to like this. It leaked when wet and smells horrible! My white soap is now stained brown, my white granit counter top is now stained brow. It does come off after a lot of effort. I’m more concerned about what wood it is, and what chemicals were used for the stain/varnish. I have many teak products and NONE have done this.

Good soap holder, not much to say

I bought this for my lush soap I use in the shower. I need the water to drain otherwise the soap gets soggy. This holder is perfect and looks great

Just as described, bare wood and requires sealer

Just as expected, bare teak wood. Has to be sealed or will likely leave color behind. I sealed mine with star brite teak sealer, sealed 3 times for durability. Color will darken with sealer application.
