While I loved pretty much all the puzzles from the 3D crystal puzzle line, I have to say this one is the most frustrating and could have benefited from an instruction insert on some parts. While I like the challenge of figuring things out on my own, there was a lot of difficulty making progress on this piece, especially since some of the pieces did not fit together as well as they should have (which in the past, I've had no trouble with other 3D puzzles fitting and locking together smoothly) I've done level 3 puzzles before and it felt like this one should have been a higher rating, considering how much me and a friend struggled in turn with it. Perhaps this is a personal experience, yours might be different, but I do not recommend this particular puzzle if you're just starting 3D crystal puzzles or just starting out level 3 puzzles! Instead, I recommend the T-Rex as a starting level 3! Keep in mind the 4 star rating was more on the quality of the interlocking pieces rather than my own personal experience with it, if not for that, it would have received a 5!

Stunning crystal lion puzzle !
96 un-numbered puzzle pieces and no instructions my 13 yr old nephew completed this puzzle in 6 hours. (Good thing as my eyes could not see how the pieces fit together!) Stunning crystal lion puzzle !

This puzzle is VERY challenging. Great for tweens and adults to work on together. NOT for little kids AT ALL.

We love these
We love regular puzzles, they are great, but my son loves a good challenge and this is it. He has several and can put them together in no time flat. Perfect for the mind that wants a challenge.

These are so time consuming, but I love it!
This is my third 3D puzzle, but it's my first deluxe. I spent approximately 15-16 hours building it (was binge watching The 100 while doing so). For the most part, the pieces fit together well once you've figured it out. It's just one of the layers around the face (the mane) leaves a gap of space, making it look like a layer is missing when it's really not. Might just be a flaw for specific one, but I still love it. I am definitely going to keep ordering more of these! Also, I think it's because it's a deluxe one, but it comes with a base that the lion rests on too, which is nice. Will post photos after I reassemble it again because it was on the table, and my mom accidentally knocked it over while trying to make space for dinner :( My heart shattered when I heard some of the pieces fall apart!

Pieces wrong size
Do not get this puzzle, there are too many pieces that are smaller than their supposed to be on the right side of the loin. This makes it difficult to put the puzzle together and causes an imbalance in the puzzle making it a bit unstable.

Awesome!!!
Looooved this puzzle! I was instantly hooked! If you’ve never had one, I would strongly recommend to start with a level 1 or 2. This was my first one and it definitely took me a minute to understand the mechanics and figure out a strategy. It was very entertaining and it is made of really sturdy material. Strongly recommend!
