Runs a bit snug versus Capezio
Very comfortable ballet shoes. The leather stretches quickly however, the initial fit is a bit tight. It’s tight around the toebox as well as the entire shoe. In the last photo, I have a comparison of how the shoes fit as compared to Capezio. The BLOCH is on the right (in the photo but on the left foot) with the crisscrossed strap and the Capezio was on the left of the picture. The crisscrossed strap is great for dancing.

beautiful, comfortable, affordable and totally worth it!
I bought these because Ive started with the ballet beautiful program and I needed attire that would fit me after the baby. Besides, I always wanted a pair of black ballet shoes! The Bad: - it's kinda hard to tell which shoe is which. The right and the left look exactly the same. At least to me. - The front of the shoe seems just a little high. Not really a big deal, but I guess it's a question of aesthetics. - The elastic band comes pre attached. Not me, but Im sure the pros would like to measure and sew it in themselves given their difference in arch and other feet criteria. The GOOD!: - I love them! I love the feel and look of the leather without being too shiny. - They look very lean and they mold quite nicely to my feet. There's no weird gap when I go on releve or eleve. - the adjustable elastic is quite long so picking a comfort zone is fairly easy and it doesn't cut into my skin or bother me in any way. - The heel of the shoe is perfect for my feet. (I have a rather large heel which makes it hard to shop for certain shoes.) - The shoe stays on comfortably whether Im wearing tights or not. - The shipping was free with Prime and I got them within 3 days. The packaging was the original and in mint condition. - The canvas insert in the soles is barely noticeable and it's more comfortable for pointing. - Also, it grips the floor just fine when standing and slides easily when needed. Ok, so I'm no ballerina but I've had ballet classes before so I know enough to invest in the right brands and products but not enough to be considered an expert. Ive always been a big fan of Capezio and I have a lot their stuff including jazz shoes, which are almost 9 years old! Since leather it's so easy to keep clean I figured I should give Bloch a chance. The capezios also split soles with a bit of a heel and a Neoprene stretch arch insert that's constantly "pulling" which makes it harder to sustain a second position. Besides, I bought them for a ballet/social dance class which made sense at the time. Also, the top part of the shoe kind of hits me where my foots bends. The Bloch Women's Prolite II Hybrid Ballet Slipper is a much comfortable shoe for ballet and its a much better fit

Well made sure with one specific complaint. YMMV.
I am new to the ballet slipper and have never had a split sole before. I Bellydance so use the balls of my feet a lot. I don’t have particularly wide toes but found the very small sole was not large enough to protect the shoe leather just under the ball of each foot. After one performance on a smooth painted concrete floor, I have significant scuffing and am concerned it will wear through too quickly. That said, it’s my only complaint and may be irrelevant to other dance styles or foot shape. The leather is soft and supple. A tug of the elastic tightened up the edge of the slipper perfectly. The elastics that go over the arch are a little tight but I tend to have a high arch and it wasn’t uncomfortable at all. Overall, it is a well made shoe and will be fine for practice or performance on a proper floor. I’m still searching for a close-to-barefoot feel for a shoe for concrete, brick and asphalt as my performance spaces are sometimes outside.

Buy 2 sizes down for perfect fit!
I wear a 10.5 street shoe and have wide feet. I purchase the 8.5 regular bc wide size was unavailable. They still fit pretty well and I imagine that with some wear, will be perfect. Toe box not too tight. Heel hits perfectly. Definitely size down by 2 sizes if you want the right fit.

I like them, but...
I'm an inexperienced dancer taking an adult beginning ballet course, so my opinion may not be that valuable. However, I ordered based on everyone's reviews, and my slippers are definitely too small. I am usually an 8.5 or 9 street shoe, and I ordered a 6.5. They are very tight on my toe (not just snug). A size 7 or 7.5 may have been a better choice for me, but I don't know. Also, the heel pad is way in towards the arch of my foot. I don't know if this is normal in ballet slippers, but it feels wrong when I'm dancing. However, overall, the quality of the shoes is wonderful (even though I messed up the sizing). They are a wonderful shade of pink, the elastic straps fit just right, and I love the canvas/leather mix- it creates a nice hug of the arch of my foot. The pink on the toe has scuffed after use, but that is understandable.

Good Slipper!
Follow the sizing chart! I wear an 8.5 US street shoe, I ordered the 6.5 D and they fit perfectly, if a tiny bit snug. I like them snug to begin with bc they will let out a bit as I break them in. As suggested by others, I wear them around the house a bit to break them in before I dance in them. Elastics are pre-sewn and fit just right. Great slipper for a great price!

Cozy, Comfy, Cute.
Love LOVE these!! I’m a size 6 across the board. Sometimes I can do 5.5, but 6.5 is almost always too big. I ordered these in 3.5 regular & they are seriously wonderful. I’m a boudoir photographer & shoot up to 9 hrs in a day. Since I jump on furniture & beds all day, these are PERFECT, as yoga socks were killing my feet. It’s incredible how much more comfortable a ballet shoe can be?! The only not perfect (but understandable) thing is the sole doesn’t stay all the way attached inside after a week, as seen in my 3rd photo. I still love & wear them but sometimes it flaps up and it feels annoying until you adjust it. Other than that, they are holding up really well. I took these photos after wearing them through 50+ photo shoots.

So soft and flexy!
I went through multiple shoes as a brand new adult ballet dancer. I did not know what I was doing when choosing initially. I stumbled across these and liked the idea of a canvas leather hybrid. Boy, am I glad I invested! Although I probably should have gone a size up, I absolutely love how comfortable this slipper fits. It makes my feet look amazing during class and I can bend them very freely to complete all of the movements. I also feel very stable while I'm dancing and because they are soft they don't feel tight. I forgot them one night and had to wear my all canvas slipper and immediately realized how much better I dance and how much more foot control I have when I wear this hybrid slipper. Will definitely be purchasing again but possibly in a slightly bigger size. I normally wear a size 8 (39/40) but I have a bit of a wide foot, I ordered a 7C but I found it to be a tiny smidge small (I also wear a very thin stocking sock inside the shoe during class so my feet don't get sweaty), although I do feel comfortable when I'm dancing, next time I'm considering going just one size up to see if that happens to be the perfect fit

Good looking on your foot
Good quality leather. Good design on the bottom of shoes, especially in the middle part of bottom. I like the room inside the shoes, the foot have full cover, not only cover the toes, I think it is because the size type "D". When I open the box, I found two of strap (rubber band) already sewed. A lot of shop they are not doing this and put inside the box. Some of my friend just put it at home and wait some days, it is because of they don't want to sew 8 points of strap (rubber band) It need more skillful to sew it. I wear regular shoes is 7 or 37. 4.5 D Bloch Prolite II is good fit on my foot. Bloch type name : Prolite II - I bought white color and black color is perfect match all my dancing cloth. All of our dance schoolmate they don't have this two color, they are wearing pink color.

Exactly as described!
I say this fits as expected cause I read all the reviews about sizing about going down 2 sizes from your running shoes. My daughter is 8 in Nike's and I purchased 6B for her and they were perfect, mind you she has narrow feet. Great quality, and seem to be up to the task so far. I will update if there are any durability issues sorta speak.
