2.5 Stars -- Functional But Too Expensive

Like many Bosch Power Tool enthusiasts, I have reached deep into my shallow pockets to invest in the Bosch L-BOXX click-and-go storage system manufactured by their partner Sortimo. With each purchase of a combo where a bare tool was included with a storage box, I have been happy with my purchase and nearly satisfied with the exact fit insert trays included for the L-BOXX (though I would dispute the "exact fit" claim). However, when I purchased empty L-BOXXES here on Amazon, I have been dissatisfied with how much I'm paying for a cheaply made box WITHOUT any cushioning for my tools! This overpriced piece of cheap foam does the trick but should be included with ANY L-BOXX purchase short of a combo. Bosch needs to look at including these with the boxes. Any marketing or branding mind knows that getting these boxes into the hands of satisfied consumers will up the likelihood of allegiance to Bosch Power Tools. So make them affordable. And if you don't include them with a L-BOXX purchase, then by all means, cut the price down by 40-50% and you will sell many, many more.

Doesn't fit newer LBOXX-2 perfectly

Apparently they changed the shape of the LBOXX1/2 some time in the past, but the foam wasn't changed to match. There is a small gap around the edges. Not a huge deal, as I will stuff some of the bits pulled out into this space, but I think in the future I will just cut my own shapes in uncustomized foam. Seems to be sturdy enough otherwise, despite the cuts for all the cubes.

Must have for L-Boxx

This really is a must have add-on if you have a Bosch tool with the L-Boxx or just bought an L-Boxx for any reason. The foam is pre-cut so you simply pull out the rectangles to match the shape of your items. It also comes with a foam pad for the top of the box which will hold itself in place even if the lid is open or upside down. When I am carrying my box, I don't hear anything making noise indicating that my tools (impact driver, drill, batteries, and charger) are all being held perfectly in place.

Not cheap, but gets the job done.

Kind of a pain in the arse to configure, but good quality foam with high versatility. Get it right the first time though as there are no second chances.

Used it to put 2 tools in 1 LBOXX, but pricey.

I had 2 Bosch tools, one that came with an LBOXX and one that didn't. I bought the foam so that I could put both in the same box. It did the trick, but I deducted a star for the cost. It was a bit high for just a piece of pre-cut foam, most of which I ended up cutting out and throwing away.

Great Product - Follow My Advice

The product is very well made. I did not give it 5 stars because it didn't come with any "tips and tricks" for how best to cut out the shapes. I suggest using a single edge razor blade - cutting all the way through to the bottom - remove the shape and trim to the correct thickness. I'm very happy with the case.

works as advertised

I bought this with a l box and it is the same concept as Festool and Tanos systainers .I think the price is okay could be a little less considering they are trying to compete with Festool. This does make a nice fitting lining for your good or precision tools and is easy to get a good fit

Fits like a glove

Great for creating a custom fit but I'm not sure how well it would hold up to repeated use (like taking a drill in and out a few times a day). I’m going to find out so I’ll let y’all know soon enough. It comes in two pieces: the main pick-a-part pre-cut foam (about 3 inches thick) and a solid base piece (about ½ an inch thick) so after you pick out the pieces to make a custom fit you tools won’t fall all the way through and will still have a padded backing.

¡ ESPUMA BOSCH VERSÁTIL !

Fácil de manipular , fácil de cortar , pará optimizar los espacios en cajas de herramientas , para qué durante el traslado de un lugar a otro , tús herramientas no tengan movimientos excesivos y descontrolados en el interior de su propia caja , y así evitemos golpes y rayones innecesarios a nuestras herramientas , también para optimizar espacios en charolas ( gavetas ) de carritos de herramientas , y por consiguiente tus herramientas las tengas mejor ordenadas , supongo que está espuma también puede ser útil para optimizar espacios en otros tipos de sistemas de almacenamiento y por consiguiente guardar otro tipo de objetos .

A must if no « exact fit » inserts are available for your tool

Not a perfect fit I wish they would have extended the foam to maximize the L-Boxx2 on each corners... i added the pieces of plucked foam and will plasti-dip the whole thing to prevent the foam from damaging... The other thing I wish they would have done is put two foam pieces instead of just one thick foam pad so you could accommodate accessories that aren’t thick...

EXACTAMENTE LO QUE OFRECEN (Y MÁS)

La calidad es excelente, no se desprenden las piezas tan fácilmente como para que se consideren frágiles. El uso como verán en la imagen no es exclusivo para herramientas o para una caja Bosch, es decir, bastante versátil. El único inconveniente es el alto que para lo que yo lo usé fue un tanto grande y no creo que sea fácil cortarlo a la mitad. En general excelente producto.

fits two tools and battery charger

I was able to fit a drill with battery and the impactor (without the battery) + the charger and I leave the extra battery pack on top of my drill. The result is perfect and I can take it anywhere. Obviously, I got the L-boxx2 that goes with it. A must. small HC 18V battery pack for your info. If you want a pick to help youwith your cutting feel free to ask.
