Decent work boot

Besides on the left side the bottom hook for the laces kinda dig into your ankle seem to be decent work boots

They have an inner ankle point that digs in

Good product in my eye. The point where the tounge connect's to the shoe, folds up and creates a knot which is like a rock in your boot. I would fold that thing like crazy to get the rigidity out of it before working or walking around.

Great work boots get your true size really think about if you have a wide foot

My shoe size is 11 in boots it’s 10 1/2 I asked some people if my foot was wide which I never thought was the case bieng 150 5,10 so I got these boots in 10 wide and they are amazing skip the second boot tie if the eye holes hurt your foot but get work boot socks something u can roll down to double up on

Durable

My husband always wore Chippewa but I bought him these. The rubber soul is much firmer and the eyelets don't grab like chips do but overall a great rugged boot ????

Great Leather, Too Small

First, I'll say that the leather on these is nice and thick and sturdy. Anyone who says different is just lying. But, the 8.5M is just too tight for me. I have broken in lots of 8.5M safety toe boots, and I am quite confident 8.5M in these just won't get there. One other small thing. I know these have a steel shank, but I just don't feel it's up to snuff with some other brands. I climb on gaffs, and when I put these on and got in my gaffs, IDK, I could feel it. Maybe they would have eventually conformed, but I couldn't risk it. I've got other boots that were better out of the box when I climbed. Just want to finish this review by saying that not all brands fit everyone. I am a Keen, Wolverine, Salomon person. Those brands just fit me like a glove. So nothing against Carhartt here.

Must have for Forestry workers

I used to be a Carolina fan boy for over a decade. I noticed my final few pairs, they started wearing down and falling apart quicker and quicker. I finally decided to try another logger, what did I have to lose? After much research I picked Carhartt. These are an amazing boot for forestry workers. I would not recommend them for a mechanic or any of the other commenters that complain of foot pain. The high heel is meant for in a tree [holding gaffs in place] and off-road applications. Do not wear these for factory work, mechanic work etc. Unless you want too, idrc. Just my .02. I generally replace boots after 1 year. I work for the local power company so I put many miles on my boots, in all weather conditions in the North East. 1yr in my boots is 3 to 5 in an average person's. I went 18 months with these, although I had a pair of pull-ons I'd wear some days in the winter, but these were easily on my feet 90-95% of my time. I couldn't have been happier. These are not 'steel toe' like some people say. They are a hardened toe, composite to be exact. You want composite if you plan to wear these in cold winter areas. I've worn steel before, and no matter what quality of wool socks you have on, the steel freezes and your toes will freeze next. My only upgrade I made, and it's nothing against the boots specifically-i do it to every pair of boots I ever buy- i replace the laces with 550 Paracord. Just buy a roll of whatever color you like, match the length to the included laces, cut to length. Lightly burn the ends to seal -dont touch it!- and presto. I promise those laces will never break under normal use. They won't dry rot. They won't wet rot. And they're probably twice as fat as standard boot laces, which for me is easier in my hands to tie tightly. I hope this review has helped. Thank you for reading it all. Stay safe.

Good boot

You have to be careful not to lace it too tight or it will put pressure at one of the eyelets around the ankle . They are heavy and hot but I bought them for motorcycle riding to give support and a little extra reach riding an Ultra Limited. I have no regrets.

TIGHT ANKLE

Beautiful boot seriously nice quality control, only issue I have is the ankle is uncomfortable, almost painful. I love them they seem like a versatile boot that could be used at work or worn out. Ankle definitely needs revision though, would still recommend but be prepared for a snug boot
