NOT high-waisted
This swimsuit bottom seems to be well made, it is lined both front and bag; however, the waist was not nearly as high as depicted in the product photo. It was an inch or two below my belly button and the waist band as well as the leg opening elastic seemed a little tight. It's going back.

Seemed nice, didn't fit me right so I returned
I can't comment on the use of these in water as I tried them on (with underwear) and returned. I was borderline L to XL based on the size chart, and probably should have gotten the XL as my hips and thighs are my largest area. My main problem area was the leg openings, they were tight and did not fall at the crease of my hip/thigh. I think this would still have been a problem with the XL, less tight but still not the cut for me. They are quite high coverage, both in terms of belly and butt. Not very "cheeky" even with my larger behind. The fabric felt nice, and other than the leg holes they were comfy.

Had a weird angle
The quality was great but it didn’t fit right in me. Just looked odd, not sure if it was just the cut/ style or what, but didn’t suit me .

True to size and nice and high
They are nice and high for nice smoothing without being orthopedic seeming. Nice and smooth and hit the right spots. I am a large or sometimes a medium in swim bottoms and the large fit.
